Agree To Disagree

Tunde stared at Sophia as she sat opposite him, looking all serious about her demand. He was a great reader of body languages, and he could tell that even though, she was confident about herself, there was still something she lacked. Though he couldn't place his fingers on it, but he knew for sure that, she was a stuck up girl, and she looked really sex starved.

"When last did you have sex? I don't just mean any sex, I mean a good one, which made you come really hard?" Tunde asked, looking at her in the eyes.

"Excuse me?" Sophia said in shock, her mouth agape. "What sort of stupid question is that?"

"Well you are excused, but I can bet my money, that you haven't been getting a good sex, that's if you have gotten any at all in a long while"

"I can see that you have gone crazy" Sophia immediately stood up to leave.

"A quick question before you leave, when last was it? A year, two years? Or is it more than that? Oh please don't tell me it's more than that, because if it is, then there must be cobwebs growing in there by now"

"You are stack raving mad"

"I might be mad, but at least I'm not the one making ridiculous demands. No wonder you want to deprive others of having sex, it's because you haven't been having any yourself"

Sophia hissed and stormed out of his office, making sure to bang the door really hard behind her.

Tunde sat on his chair laughing really hard, after she had left. What was she thinking coming to him with such a ridiculous demand? Who does she think she is? Queen Elizabeth? Even the Queen can't ask him to do such a thing. No sex for a whole year? who stays that long without having sex? Definitely not him.

He decided to go back to what he was doing, but couldn't, as his mind kept wondering, and going back to Sophia, and how angry she was when she left his office.

He then decided to give her a call, but she refused picking up. "Oh Tunde, what is wrong with you? If she refuses to pick, then leave her alone" he said to himself as he tried calling her again and she still didn't pick up.

"Guy you don dey craze?"

Tunde looked up from his phone to find Dayo standing in front of him. "When did you get in here?" He asked in surprise, he didn't even hear him come in.

"I just came in, and saw you talking to yourself, what is going on?"

"Guy, it's Sophia o?" He cleaned his face with his hands, out of frustration.

"Which Sophia, the one your mom wants you to marry?" Dayo sat down as he spoke.

"Yes, she just left here"

"Okay? What happened?"

"She agreed to my marriage proposal"

"Well, that is good news. So why the long face?"

"I guess I still haven't come to terms with the fact that I will be getting married soon" Tunde couldn't bring himself to tell Dayo, or any of his friends for that matter, that he offered Sophia a contract marriage, and that she also said, they weren't going to sleep with each other, or any other person throughout the period of the marriage.

"Guy don't worry, when worst comes worse, you can divorce her, after you have gotten your inheritance"

"Thanks man, why are you here anyway? I wasn't expecting you"

"I came to pick some work I gave someone to do for me within the area, I decided to come say hello" Dayo stood up as he spoke.

"You are leaving already?"

"Yeah, I still have some work to do at the office, before the close of business"

"Alright man, see you around"

At the close of work that day, Tunde decided to pay Sophia a visit, he needed to apologize to her for the things he said earlier in his office. Thankfully, his mother had given him her address, the same day she gave him her number.

When Tunde arrived Sophia's house, he wasn't surprised to find it was designed in elegance, and tastefully furnished with class. Her father was a wealthy man after all.

"I will go, and inform miss Sophia of your arrival" the housekeeper said, after offering him a seat.

After waiting for Sophia for a while, Tunde stood up to look at a family picture, that was hung on the wall. Sophia's mother and father were seated, while their three children stood. Sophia was by her father's side, while her elder sister stood beside their mother, and their younger brother stood behind their parents. They all looked so happy in the picture. Sophia looked so peaceful, and youthful as she smiled in the picture. Her eyes held so much light and hope. Unlike now all you see, is a woman trying to save her father's legacy. Tunde found himself wanting to see that hope, and light return back to her eyes again.

"That picture was taken, few months before he passed"

Tunde was shocked to hear Sophia's voice behind him, he didn't hear her when she came into the sitting room.

"I'm sorry about that"

"It's okay, it's been over eight years now since he died of a heart attack, please have a seat" Sophia motioned to one of the chairs, and took a seat herself.

"Thank you" Tunde sat down on the couch opposite Sophia.

"Would you like something to drink, or eat perhaps?"

Tunde was shocked at her calmness, and hospitality, when he had come here preparing himself for her hostility instead.

"No, I'm okay thank you. Actually I came here to apologize to you Sophia, I'm sorry for the things I said to you earlier at my office today, I shouldn't have said any of those things. I'm truly sorry"

"Apology accepted" she said calmly.

"Really? You have forgiven me?"

"Yes, or were you coming here with the expectation of not being forgiven?"

"Not at all, I just wasn't expecting to be let off the hook so easily"

"Tunde, I have thought about what you said, and I think it will be quite selfish of me, to ask you not to satisfy your sexual needs, throughout the period of us being married"

"So what are you saying?"

"I say we get married, you can have a mistress. But your relationship with her, has to be discreet, at least until our marriage is dissolved"

"That is fantastic" Tunde got up and pulled Sophia out of her chair for a hug. She was shocked at first, but later warmed up to it.

"I promise to never disrespect, nor hurt you throughout the period of our marriage" Tunde promised.

"And I promise, to try my best and be a good wife to you, for as long as we be married"

"I must inform my parents, so they can put preparations in motion"

"Alright, I will tell my mom as well"

"Tell your mom what?" Sophia's mother asked as she walked into the sitting room, all smiles at the sight of Tunde and Sophia holding hands.

"We are getting married mother"

"Then I have a wedding to plan!" She screamed out in joy.
