Aftermath

Tunde sat on the bed, using his hands to remove the stray hair that covered her face.

"I like you too Soph, but I know you are not in the right frame of mind to talk about this now, so we will talk in the morning." He bent and kissed her on the cheek.

He continued to smoothen her hair, even after she had fallen asleep.

He knows, behind all the strength, and Independence she shows, somewhere deep inside, there is a soft Sophia, that yearns to be heard and loved. One who wants to be taken care of.

If there is one thing he has come to realize about Sophia's mother, it is that; she cares about no one, but herself, and her actions really has been causing Sophia a lot of pain, and hurt. He was not going to allow that woman, or anyone for that matter, hurt her again.

Tunde decided to go have a shower, before going to bed. But he was barely at the bathroom door, when he heard Sophia getting up from the bed, so he went back to her.
