Dealing With Loss

Sophia was kept under observation for four hours at the hospital, and by seven in the morning she was discharged to go home.

"T I can walk on my own, you don't have to carry me."

Sophia protested as Tunde was trying to carrying her into the house when they got home.

"I know but I still insist on carrying you."

Sophia didn't want to argue, so she allowed him to carry her inside.

"Would you like me to get you something to eat?" Tunde asked, after placing her on the bed.

"No, I don't want anything."

"How about something to drink, hot tea perhaps?"

"T I'm not hungry, food is the least of my problem right now." She sounded irritated.

Tunde was clueless on what to say or do to make her feel better. He could see the pain in her eyes, and he felt hurt that there is nothing he could do to help her.

"All right then, uhm... is there something you would like me to do for you?"

"No, I would like to be left alone please."
