After the argument she had with Mrs Makinde, Sophia's mom couldn't stop thinking. Knowing the type of person that woman is, she is definitely going to follow through with her threat.

Sophia's mom knows that she needs to find a way to solve this problem she has gotten herself into.

She needs to find a way to get those documents away from Mrs Makinde's possession, they have her signatures in them indicating that she had signed off the ownership of her family's company over to the Makindes.

If she doesn't get those documents and destroy them, then in two weeks time the Makindes will take over the company and then there will be nothing she would be able to do about it.

This is a company she and her husband suffered to build from the scratch, and now because of her carelessness, because of her foolishness, all their years of labour is about to be in vain, her children are going to lose the only legacy their father left them, because of her.
