"A Day With Zoey"

'knock, knock' I heard someone knocking.

I just laid on my bed so I felt a little bit frustrated. I got up but was still on the bed and said:

"Who is it?!"

"Oh, young miss it's me, Zoey" A voice answered.

I was startled, I got up and opened the door for her.

"Oh!, Zoey you're here, come on in" I grabbed her hand and pulled her in my room.

She was wearing her normal clothes now and she looks so cute. But I think that she was more cuter in the maids uniform, it was just like from the cosplay. I thought in my mind.

I looked and stared at Zoey, I looked at her features. She has a Dark wavy hair and her eyes has a shade of brown, she has a fine nose and a heart shaped lips, and she has a brunette skin. Either way she looks so beautiful.

"Young miss?, Young miss?" Zoey called my name repeatedly.

I snapped out of myself and answered. "Oh, Oh, Yeah?!"

"Are you okay? young miss?!!" she asked me and looked at me with worrying eyes.

"Oh Yeah!, I'm okay. I was just looking at your face cause you looks so beautiful." I said.

She blushed and became shy.

She looks so cute I giggled.

"so wanna do something fun?!" I asked her with a smile.

"whatever you like, young miss!" she said.

"Oh come on!, aren't we friends?. Stop calling me "young miss" and call me by my name." I told her.

"Then, Ni- Nicole?" she called me.

"there you go!" I was happy she called me by my name.

"How about we go and read books about the stars?!" I asked her.

"Well Sure!, I'll love to know about about the stars and the galaxy!" She told me in such beaming eyes.

I giggled. I went to my bookshelf and picked all of the books about astronomy and shared it with Zoey.

"Studies about the galaxy is called 'Astronomy'" I told her.

"Yeah!, our teacher also taught us that in school." She answered.

"that's cool! Well I'm not allowed to go to school at all, Dad said I'll be able to go to one if I reach the age of 15." I told her.

"Well, I think their doing it for your safety." she said.

"I know that but, I really want to go to one" I utter.

"how old are you now Ni- Nicole?!" she asked me but was still shy to say my name.

"I'm 13 now." I answered.

"Well that's not bad. You only have to wait for 2 years, time past by really fast you know!" She told me.

"I know but I still can't wait"

"well anyways, let's just continue reading" I said and we proceeded.

We laughed and played that times and it was really kind of beautiful. As I thought, Zoey is my first ever friend in my whole life. It was the first time I experienced having fun with a friend, and I really loved the feeling.

I was just sleepy a moment ago but I felt lively the moment Zoey came. I chatted and read books with her.

We read about astronomy and the stars, some biology books and also my favorite story books. We spent 2 hours reading and didn't realize it was already late. I looked at my clock and it was already 9 near 10. Mom and Dad had also came back from work and now eating dinner. This is the first time I stayed up late at night, I always sleep at 8 and when it's weekend, 9. I was quite shock myself, but I wasn't sleepy yet, I still felt lively and want to continue playing with Zoey. But I know I can't so I told Zoey that we will continue tomorrow and she then left. I bid farewell to her. I closed the lights and laid down on my bed trying to fall asleep.

But I can't.

I kept thinking about today. The feeling I felt, the fun I experienced and the warmness that overwhelms my body. I finally know the feeling of having a friend, even though we just met and only spent hours together, I knew that she will be a wonderful friend, let alone my pen pals from all over the world. I'm so excited.

As I was thinking, I finally fell asleep, in a smile.

The next morning came. Finally it's Sunday today. I looked at the time and it's 8:00 am freshly on my clock.

I prayed first and thank god for giving me a new day.

"It's a brand new day!" I said and stretched my body.

I changed my night gown and came down to eat breakfast. Mom and Dad already went to the company an hour earlier. I ate cornflakes for breakfast today cause it's been so long I last ate it. Cornflakes with milk is always the best, it's sweet and a little bit salty. I quickly finished eating and came to find Zoey.

Since today is my free day, I can have the whole day with Zoey. I went to the Garden to see but she wasn't there. I went to the halls but she isn't also there. I went all around the mansion to find her, but no sight of her was seen.

I was sad because my plans with Zoey can't completely be done. I heaved a deep sigh and my sadness sure can be seen in my face. On my way back, I accidentally bumped into someone, I stumbled on the floor.

"Kyaa!" I shouted. My butt fell on the floor and it hurts. I went to see the person I bumped into and when I took a glimpse of sight from her, I beamed with such happiness on my face.

"Zoey!, I finally found you!"

I quickly got up even though it hurts, and quickly came to Zoey and helped her get up.

"I'm sorry Zoey, are you okay?!" I said.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking on my way" she said.

I looked at her and she was wearing a dress. I was curious.

"Why are you wearing a dress?!" I asked her.

"Oh, this. Today is Sunday so I went to the church." She answered.

"Oh, is that so?, is it fun in the church?" I asked her.

"Yeah, there you'll learn the language of God and know your religion and etc." She answered.

"That's cool!, well anyways let's o and play with me in the garden." I grabbed her hand and ran while we both smiled.
