Darkstalker's Pov
I woke up from my awful dream only to see I wasn't in the bed, but on the ground wrapped by plants. I quickly got up and went inside the house. I saw a dragon messing with a plant on the table, the same of which that wrapped all around me outside. Then it suddenly came to me. The plant that was wrapped around me was the Breath of Evil.
"Oh, good morning. I see you're awake. I'm Hawthorn, if you didn't notice. My 'friend' seemed quite worried about you last night. Apparently he wants a body so he doesn't have to use me to talk to you." Hawthorn told me.
"So he's a he?" I asked.
"They're a plant. They don't have a gender until I finish their body." Hawthorn said. Then I heard the Breath of Evil speak from Hawthorns head. 'Actually, I think I'd prefer to be female considering I've spent the most time in feminine bodies.'
"So, you're a she then?" I asked.
"What do you- Did you just hear him?" Hawthorn asked surprised.
"Her, and yes I did. Mindreading is one of the 3 abilities Nightwings can be born with. The others being future vision and magic, but that's something anyone related to an animus can have. I personally have all 3." I said, sort of bragging.
Hawthorn looked at me shocked. I just smiled.
"So, what's your endgame?" He asked.
"Wipe out the Icewings and rule the rest of the tribes on Pyrrhia."
"Sounds like the Breath of Evil's agenda but instead of Icewings it's Leafwings, and instead of Pyrrhia, it's Pantala." Hawthorn said, seemingly scared.
"So Hawthorn, how do you feel being stuck in a room with 2 ancient beings with powers you can't even begin to comprehend?" I ask.
"Just splendid." He says obviously lying. "So, how are you going to turn plant matter into flesh and bone?" I ask.
"I don't know. Can't you just use magic to make her a body?" He asks. I then start laughing. "Oh, I could, but it's more fun to see you struggle to find a solution." I say.
"You can see the future, do I ever find a solution?" He asks. I look into the futures for a few moments. "Yes. It is possible, and at most it should only take a few months." I say.
"Okay. Then I must start getting to work." Hawthorn says. As me and the Breath of Evil talk, she asks if I would like to go to the Hives. I don't see a reason not to, so I take off.
As I land everyone stares at me, shocked, most in awe. This would be their first time in 2000 years since they saw a Nightwing. I could hear a lot of thoughts, and murmurs through the crowd, so I tuned it out, with the breeze shaking the leaves in the forest. I went to a few stores and eventually Queen Wasp came to talk to me.
"Wasp, I'm assuming." I said to her as she walked into the shop I was in.
"Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you. You are?" She asks.
"Darkstalker. I got to admit, this place can be nice. Unfortunately, I can't provide prophecies like... her." I said lying, not wanting her to try and use me. It's not that I thought she was a threat, heck she was barely an inconveinence at most.
It would just save me some time for her not to know.
"Okay. Still, feel free to be our guest." Wasp said.
"Don't worry I will. Well, I have places to be, bye." I said then teleporting to Hawthorns house. As soon as I entered I saw Hawthorn was experimenting with his blood.
"Any breakthroughs?" I asked. "Yes, by using Leafwing blood that can use powerful leaf speaking, I found a cell in between plant and animal cells. If I'm not mistaken it should have the exact result the Breath of Evil is looking for." He said proud of himself but still shy.
"Good job, now I'll leave you to it. Also, why was the Breath of Evil wrapped around me outside." I asked.
"I think it wanted to comfort you considering your phobias." He said.
"My phobias. As in, plural?" I ask.
"Yeah, it seems you have Hypnophobia and Monophobia. Or at least, that's what the Breath of Evil thinks." He said. As I started thinking about it I realised I was scared of being alone. If I continue my quest to murder all the Icewings, then I might not have anyone left who truly cares about me.
"Yeah. I probably have monophobia. Hypnophobia is a definite." I say. After I finish that sentence an awkward silence arises.
"So, Breath of Evil, it's kind of weird having to say that anytime I want to talk to you. So, what should your new name be?" I ask. Then I hear her voice. 'Um, I'll let you decide that considering you know me best.'
I then go over some names until the perfect one comes to mind. "Eve." I said.
'Eve... It's perfect. Thank you.'
"You're welcome. But right now I'm tired, but I don't want to sleep, not alone." I said feeling uneasy.
Hawthorns eyes suddenly went white as he walked outside with Darkstalker following him. He laid down where he did last night, but this time, the Breath of Evil hung him up like a hammock when he went to bed. It was nice, as I slowly lost consciousness.
