Darkstalkers Pov...
She was a perfect. In between all her scales was red making it look like a red net covered her. I walked towards her.
"Eve, you in there?" I asked.'
She nodded. It was close to nightfall, and to be honest, I didn't feel like sleeping outside with her. So, I had a thought, I pulled her into a hug and teleported us away.
Eve's Pov
I was hugged by him. This is the feeling I wanted. The warmth. As I opened my eyes I realised we weren't in the poison jungle anymore. We were in a valley surrounded by smashed buildings, barely recognizable.
He picked me up and started flying to the only structure in slightly better condition than the rest, in a mere instant though it and everything inside was in tip top condition. It was the exact same house from my dreams.
"Sorry it was a mess. Anyways, welcome to my home." He said.
"Right, I don't mean to sound rude, but it seems like there's been no one here in a thousand years." I said.
"2000, and the reason why is because of my father. He ruined everything" He said. Wait, if I recall correctly Clearsight only arrived 2000 years ago. Judging from his reaction to what she did and what I read in her book then that means...
"She left me..." Darkstalker said, tears falling from his eyes. I immediately hugged him, he doesn't deserve such sorrow. "I'm sorry." I say.
"You didn't do anything. I would've most likely cried anyways from the memories of my old home." He said. I still hugged him. "It's getting late, we should go to sleep." I tell him. He hesitantly nods. As we go to his room, I realise there's two beds.
I don't know if he wants to sleep with me, so I hesitantly walk to the other bed only for him to grab me. "If you don't mind, can we bed together?" He says. I nod and walk over to his bed. I lay down with him, before feeling him pull me into his arms.
I was full of warmth as he held me in his arms. This was the feeling I wanted. I would give up everything I ever worked for just to stay in his arms. I then realised that I would literally give up everything for him. It didn't bother me, but I was wondering, would he do the same?
"Yes." He said breaking me from my train of thought. "I don't know if this is too early or if you don't feel the same way, but I-" Before he could finish she kissed him. "It's never too early. Now, do you want to sleep, or keep this up." I asked.
"Keep this up." He said smiling.
The next day Darkstalker's Pov
I woke up to see the perfect Eve in my arms. Then I heard someone familiar talk.
"Hello? Darkstalker?" They asked.
I walked out slowly, looking at the person in question, only to realise, it was my mom. I hugged her immediately.
"Mom! I'm so glad you're back." I said.
"Darkstalker, we need to talk about what you did to the Icewings." She said. The moment she finished that sentence, I tensed up. "First, I need to go get someone. Hold on."
I walked to my room and shook Eve awake.
"Was that sleep?" She asked tiredly. I nodded. "It was amazing, but not as amazing as you."
"Yeah, my moms home, and somehow alive." I said.
"I don't see the problem." She said.
"I killed my father." I said. "Oh. Then let's all talk this out. I'm sure she'll listen to you." She said reassuringly. I sighed as we both walked out the door. Mom looked at me and Eve.
"Mom, this is Eve, Eve this is Foeslayer my mother." I said. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Eve said.
"Likewise. So Darkstalker, about what you did, why did you do it?" Foeslayer asked me. I sighed. The worst part was, it'd been so long. It was all so blurry.
"I can't remember it in perfect detail, but I remember wanting to kill more once you were gone. You were the only reason I tolerated Arctic as long as I did, but when you were gone something inside of me broke, even more so after he tried to kill Whiteout so the Icewings would take him back. I couldn't handle all of the emotions going through my mind. So, I let myself lose control. The moment I woke up, I left here. I destroyed so much out of anger. I wanted to cry so much. You have no idea how much it hurt. Then I left Pyrrhia because I felt something calling me there. I met Eve, and figured out how easily Clearsight moved on and forgot about me. If only dad were nicer, then none of this would've happened." I said.
She looked at me and sighed. "Did Arctic really try to kill her?"
"Yeah, and even said if he were a better father he'd have strangled me the moment I hatched." I said sadly.
"I can't believe him. But Darkstalker, I do still need to tell you that some of what happened was caused by you." She said. "What makes you say-"
"You killed Icewings that weren't Arctic before your nap, correct?" She asks. I look down guiltily. "I did, but they deserved it-"
"I'm not doubting that they didn't, but you shouldn't just kill dragons. Please, I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me in the past, but please let me teach you right from wrong." She says.
I take in a deep breath, and say "I'll try. If you believe I need help, I'll try to believe you."
"Also, sorry to interrupt, especially if now isn't a good time, but can I get your blessing so I can marry Darkstalker?" Eve asked.
"How old are you?" Foeslayer asked looking genuinely worried. "Around 5,012 years old, give or take a few hundred." Foeslayer and I looked shocked. "I guess this is why you never ask a woman her age." I said jokingly. Eve started laughing and we soon followed. I didn't look into the future as I knew that no matter what happens from this point on, this would be perfect.
The end.
