The students of Class-2B were all ecstatic for the next class. That is all except Sven whose attention was elsewhere throughout the day. All his thoughts directed towards the wellbeing of one particular individual.
'I wonder what the other day was about, just who would attack the school?'
The day that the explosion occurred near the school. Only a handful of students knew that the incident was an attack and not an accident as the management had clarified. Even if any of the normal students knew there were ways to take care of their knowledge. To even begin properly Lordston High was not your average high school. It was a training ground for young supernaturals like Sven who was actually a vampire. He was tasked with the protection of Phara Carlucas ever since he met her at the *Furn Summit.
(A little neutral meeting between the Vampires and The Grove)
The only issue is that she has no memories of back then. Well she was reborn severally so it would be hard to retain memories from time to time. This was her third rebirth he witnessed and it was already troublesome. Not just for him but if the vampires were involved in the Groves messes things never ended without bloodshed. It is common sense for the vampires to avoid relations with Nylocks of any form. So what brought Sven and Phara together? Was it a feeling of obligation? Was it a binding contract with a former Phara? Was it Siphara herself?
Unfortunately, even Sven had no clue why he was protecting her. He wasn't even aware of Siphara's presence in Phara. All he knew is that even if she died He would have to wait for her resurrection and continue protecting her again. It was like he was programmed to do so. He was already over 200 years old and here he was tasked to befriending and protecting a girl who was in a constant rebirth cycle. Worst part is she never remembered him, ever.
He just sighed deeply and turned to face his notes. Just scribbling away as the teacher dictated. That was until the intercom beeped.
"Svenson Futscha[Fut-shya], make your way to the principal's office immediately."
"Svenson go ahead and answer the principal." The teacher dismissed him.
He stood and adjusted his tied. He carried his bag from where it was and began his little venture to the office of Luke Artwright. The ruby ring on his right middle finger began give off a faint glow, not that it meant anything to him but it was just a sign of him using his powers. The ring acted as a concealer and a limiter; simply put the ring made him more mundane. There were a bunch of other students who wore this ring, it's not like Sven needed it but to make his appearance more natural he decided he needed one and it was fashionable no matter how you looked at it. He was one of the oldest vampires in this new generation. So he obviously knew a lot of tricks.
He relaxed himself as he let his senses run free. He could hear all the conversations in every class, every heartbeat in every living thing, smell the fresh wounds of the athletes, the cleanness of the outside air. Being one of the oldest he was obviously bound to have more advanced senses. The only thing that betrayed his wisdom was the fact that his body never aged. It's not like vampires aged it's that they aged extremely slowly but in his case he just stopped aging completely.
He was almost in front of the pair of mahogany wooden doors that led to the office when the secretary greeted from her table that occupied a very bogus corner. "Sven, long time…" Cheryl sneered.
"I don't have your time succubus." He told her off and went into the office.
"I'll make this quick, she'll be joining the magic school so your job has extended. Do you object?" Luke's attention was more focused on the papers before him than the vampire.
"Then I request for a 2 days leave from the premises." His unfeeling eyes unbothered by the disrespect. He wanted to leave this hell as soon as possible at least to refresh himself before continuing his task. The school always felt like hell when Phara was not around. Her smell was enough to make his heart at ease.
"Do whatever you want, as long as you don't cause trouble."
With that he exited the office and made his way to Cheryl's desk. "Meet me at the hotel by 7pm." With that he left without another word.
Cheryl who was very annoyed at his earlier rudeness was blushing remarkably.
'At least he remembers me first.'
Of course she would be happy. He was rarely in the mood and it had been a while since she felt satisfied, and when she thought she would break from insanity he came to save her and put her out of her misery. "This is going to be one very long night," she said with childish squeal.
