Chapter 8

'Why couldn't we have been in the first group my life is over' Lisa thought as she looked at her opponents who were on the other side of the court staring at her with mence.

A new sets of balls were lined up in the middle of the court and then after the groups had huddled and made their plans the whistle went to signal the the start of the game.

Anna stayed behind with Lisa and while the others were going for the balls she put a spell on them to protect them from Julian's mind control powers.

When both groups had got the number of balls they could get the quickly went back to their sides and started their plans.

On team D Jaguar shapeshifted into a bear and threw a ball towards Lisa but Anna protected her by placing a magic barrier in front of her.

On team D once again Little J.D shrank and then was placed on a ball and thrown towards Lisa but this time Alice used her plant powers to grab Anna's leg and was dangling her in the air causing her to loose concentration and due to this the magic barrier in front of Lisa broke just as the ball was coming towards Lisa

Li Wang saw it and then created a shield and threw it towards Lisa saying "Watch out " and then Little J.D enlarged back to his normal size and was about to hit Lisa with the ball when the shield hit him in the face and her quickly moved back to his team's side and said "They are stronger than we thought."

"They are trying to protect the new girl" Julian said forgetting that Anna's concentration broke when Alice shook her and he could have used it to his advantage

On team C Anna had realised that when her concentration broke, the spell to prevent Julian from mind controlling them had broke too and she quickly did the spell again before Julian takes control of their minds and uses one person on their team against them.

Team C then continued their plan and Li Wang created about seven more balls so that each member would have two balls to throw at the members of the other team and they stood back waiting for the enemy to attack.

"Maybe the other them had given up" Larry said and just then they felt that the earth was shaking beneath the feet.

"Oh no is the earthquake guy's power ,what do we do " Lisa said hysterically. The place started to fill up with smoke and no one could see a thing .

Then Angel released her wings and they were so beautiful and white in colour and flew up to the ceiling.

"Wow I now see why they call her Angel,because she actually looks like an angel"Lisa said with stars of adoration in her eyes.

"One of their members is not there"Angel said to her teammates who where on the ground.

Lisa remembered that one member of the other team's ability was invisibility then she shouted.

"His power is Invisibility all of you watch out."

Just then a ball was launched at Larry which he dodged with his incredible speed and then Becky shown a light so bright that it blinded Don (the guy with the invisibility powers.).

Angel then used her wings to blow the dust away allowing the member on the ground to see clearly.

The Li Wang passed all the balls to Larry who threw them at the opponent's team at super speed causing them to get hit and they were out.

"Yes we won " Anna shouted happily.

Everyone else was happy except Lisa and then the went and shook hands with the opponent's team members to show sportsmanship.

When they were going of the court Becky saw that Lisa was sad

"Hey,Lisa how do you feel now that we have won."

"Happy " Lisa said

"Then why do you look so sad"

"Well it is because you see, in most superhero movies you know the character that does not have powers miraculously unlocks his or her powers when he or she is in a form of danger."

"Ok go on"Becky said nothing her head for Lisa to continue

"But I was in a very dangerous situation but my powers did not awaken"

Just then Becky burst out laughing

"So that is why you are sad"she said while she was still laughing at poor Lisa.
