---Sharon's View--- --10:21am - That Day-
'Crescent System' I repeat in my head.
Does that mean the entire world has a game-like interface now. That certainly seems like it. Do I try it?

"Sharon! Jonathan! What should we pick?" Jonathan's dad calls out to us.
"How should I know, actually why are you so accepting of this dad?" Jonathan queries.
"Doesn't look like we can get rid of it or deny it now can we, so we might as well just accept it now shouldn't we?" Jonathan's dad states the obvious.
"Jonathan, the choices are: Human-type, Monster-type, Animal-type and Spirit-type. Which one should we choose our race from?" I ask.
As I look over to him he's looking towards me but in a blank stare with his finger moving up and down. He's choosing a race huh...
A smile creeps up my face as I sneak over and stand right in front of him. Staring into his blue-grey eyes I wait until he decides to stop looking at the choices and blinks before looking straight into my eyes.
I smile at him.
"Wait, wait. When did you get there!" He shouts as he hops backwards with his face gaining a red colouring.
"I don't know." I lie. Then I ask again. "Jonathan, the choices are: Human-type, Monster-type, Animal-type and Spirit-type. Which one should we choose our race from?"
"Hmm? Probably the Human-type if not then maybe the Monster-type? The human type we'll look more human than a Monster-type but a Monster-type race will probably give us more bonuses." He replies.
"Monster-type it is then!" His dad exclaims loudly.
"You can do that dad, I'll choose Human-type thank you very much." Jonathan shoots down his father's blatantly obvious attempt at getting him to choose one.
Jonathan and his father start arguing again. I smile and creep up on Jonathan again, ready to tease him again. Then when I got in range I leaned in close and called his name.
He turns around, "What?" he then realises I'm very close to his face and falls backwards with his face extremely red.
"What the hell! Why do you have to do that every time?" He shouts.
"Why not, it's fun." I reply and begin to scroll through the choices in Human-type.
Choices:
Vampire: [Race Bonus: {+5} to Strength, Dexterity, Charisma | {-2} to total MP and HP] [Race Skills: Blood Drain]
Interesting. I wonder what blood even tastes like.
Demi/Semi-Human: [Race Bonus: {+2} and {-2} to certain stats depending on the other species] [Race Skills: None]
Hmm, half-cat, half-wolf, half-bird. It doesn't say what the features you get from it are though so pass.
Undead: [Race Bonus: {+10} to Strength, Constitution | {-10} to Charisma, Wisdom, Intelligence] [Race Skills: 'Regeneration']
Nope. Pass.
Shadow: [Race Bonus: {-1} to all stats | {+6} additional MP per level] [Race Skills: 'Shadow Form']
Ooh, 'Shadow Form' sounds cool but pass.
Elf [Variants:
Dark: [Race Bonus: {+2} additional MP per level | {-1} to Charisma, Constitution] [Race Skills: 'Mana Regeneration'],
Wood: [Race Bonus:
Maybe if I choose an elf it'd be easier to tease Jonathan.
Dwarf: [Race Bonus: {+2} to strength | Automatically Shortened to 1.2 Meters tall.] [Race Skills: Advanced Hammer Use[Lv: 1] ]
...
Pass.
Shae: [Race Bonus: {+3} to all stats. | Automatically Shortened to 0.2 Meters tall.] [Race Skills: Engraving[Lv: 1], Enchanting[Lv: 1] ]
Ooh, the +3 is tempting but no thank you.
Kit: [Race Bonus: {-1} to Strength, Constitution | Gain Two Wings with customisable colours and a Small Wind Attribute] [Race Skills: Flight[Lv: 1], Improved Balance[Lv: 1], Basic Wind Magic[Lv: 1] ]
Flight... mum.
---Flashback---
"Mum, if you could have one superpower what would it be?" I had asked my mum.
"Flight." My mum had said.
"Why's that?"
"Because when you're flying you are free from the restraints of the earth, your freedom is increased exponentially." She replied.
---End---
Kit it is, no need to see any other options.
'Kit' I thought as I crushed the pill and waited.
[Main Feather Colour Choices:
[--Black--|--White--|--Grey--|--Red--|--Blue--|--Green--|--Gold--] ]
[Feather Stem Colour Choices:
[--Black--|--White--|--Gold--]
'Gold and black'
Eventually I felt wings come from my back, resulting in the back of my shirt tearing apart though but I can always get a new shirt.
I stretch the wings and then realise that Jonathan and his dad are staring.
"What?" I ask with a blush creeping up on my face.
"Nothing, just though you'd choose something with wings." Jonathan replied nonchalantly.
"Nah, you were admiring her beauty weren't you Jonathan." His dad said while grinning from ear to ear.
"Wha... DAD! SHUT IT!" Flustered and almost seemingly panicked Jonathan shouts back and I simply smile as they start to argue again.
"So what did you two choose? You don't seem all that different..." I ask.
"Hmm? Oh I chose Semi-Human and as my quarter I chose hawk for enhanced eyesight." Jonathan replied.
"Ah, I'll choose now" His father replied, ignoring the fact that we were staring daggers at him for forgetting like always.
I guess my status looks like this now...
