I turn to see Ellery laying on the ground lifelessly.
"Ellery!" Dad runs to check her pulse to find she's alive before we both sigh in relief.
She never liked games, they're 'too defining, limiting' but those limits are what help us reach new heights! I don't get her view of games...
I don't doubt she collapsed because of the shock though, I mean who wouldn't? Other than me and Dad of course... and every other nerd and gamer in the world.
Still, this unlock is nice... is the system biased towards us? I don't know, don't care, it helps and that's great.

"A race unlock! I can be a 'Son of Hephaestus' is what is says!" Dad's eyes are widened and a huge grin covers his face, by this time we forgot about Ellery and began talking endlessly about the System and possibilities until we realized it was the afternoon

"Right! And with the boosts maybe we can build a forge ourselves!" Dad shouts with a positive tremble in his voice.
"If we build our own forge, maybe we'd get a bonus... after all we created the forge itself, so it'll to our advantage." Jake speculates.
"I know!" Dad nods vigorously.
Jake and Dad keep rambling on and don't seem to notice me waking up and listening.

The ship is out then, do we just live here? They're talking about forges and whatnot but I guess we could try to do something. Rather, I need to do something while they're in their own fantasies.

Another Gaia-related option... am I related to Gaia somehow? It would make sense but I don't see any reason why my parents would hide something like that.
Speaking of them I need to visit them after the chaos has settled down.

Soo, I would always have victory in battles? That sounds really nice but would it help much in my situation?
No.
I need to choose one of the top three, 'Daughter of Gaia', 'Gaian Bear' or 'Spectral Wolf' all three are powerful in their own right with the description the system gave me.
I guess the only question is which is most suited to me...

I stop when glancing over where Ellery was to see a floating green orb start to take the form of a young bear.
"D-d-dad..." I stutter while realising Ellery chose a race.
"She chose before us!" Dad shouts with an exuberant tone.
"Jake select the race, we can't let her get ahead of us!" Father starts to shimmer with a white aura enveloping his body in a cocoon before turning orange. I then choose the race and lose consciousness.
