Room 193 -E-

Finally arriving at the ship, I go over to the oak bridge that connects the entrance to the ground. After entering, I find myself in a corridor lined with single doors with a single set of double doors someways down the hall.

I begin walking along the soft, maroon carpet that lines the floor. I make my way towards a single door on the right side, a few doors right from the entrance. Although unsure, I feel attracted to this door.

The door itself is nothing unusual, made from some kind of pine or cedar with a silver decorated bronze knob and number plate, stating 116. If anything would define it, it's large enough for me to walk in bear form.

Using my paws, I open the door and walk in.

The room itself is quite large, around 10 by 14 meters. The furniture adorning the room consists of two black leather couches, a chair of the same material and a glass coffee table in the midst of them. Opposite the middle couch sits a bolted down shelf and TV with several movies and books aligned on it.

There are a few birch closets and a nice double bed with large sheets, a bonsai tree on a small oak table. There's also an area sectioned off by a wall and door, I presume it's the bathroom.

But that's it.

I don't see why I'd be attracted to this room at all.

"Well, I guess I'll just change in here?"

'Human Form'

The familiar rocks appear along my fur, snaking along and covering my body.

'Where do they even come from?'

Just as my vision is about to be blocked I ask for the time.

[10:27AM]

'I can check how long it takes aft-

What the hell was that?'

Out of the corner of my eyes, a green flash appears but before I can do anything the stone covers my vision. I slowly lose consciousness.

"How, intriguing. To think there'd be a person with Gaia's blood here, no, two people. This cruise was the right choice indeed."

'It should take around an hour if they have the skill at level one. 50 minutes if it's level two. Oh well, either way, it's a minute amount of time compared to how long I've waited for the Crescent System.'

"I can wait as long as I need too."

"How disorienting. It'll take a while to get used to that."

'There's a lot to get used to.'

Looking around for the green flash I come up with nothing around the room that change-

The bonsai tree's branches.

Now cover half the room.

What the hell.

"I'll look into that later, first is my clothes."

Grabbing the bag on my right, I take out my clothes and get dressed. My clothing choice consists of a dark brown sleeved shirt, black jeans, silver socks and white shoes.

'The same outfit I wore when I went to... no, now's not the time.'

"System, the time?"

[11:20AM]

I mutter.

"50 Minutes, give or take a few. At least I know now."

'Status.'

'Not much change, only inspect gained a level. I wonder what the Bonsai tree will show up as.'

'Inspect.'

'Should I try, issuing a command, or something?'

Whilst trying to figure out how to walk to the tree with the roots in the way. The green flash appears in the corner of my eyes again. Snapping my head towards it, I'm greeted with a floating green blob. Not like Xue, but more... ethereal. Translucent.

'Inspect.'

[Unable to Inspect.]

Shocked at this, I slowly and carefully back up. I hear something. An echoing, ethereal voice.

"I greet you, Daughter of Gaia."

I look left, nothing. I look right, nothing.

'Who...'

My gaze lands on the floating green orb.

"Hello?"

"Yes, is som-"

I interrupt, shouting "YOU CAN TALK?"

"..."

An awkward silence reigns over the area until the orb breaks it with a weirded out tone to it.

"Yes, I can talk. I am a higher Eris earth spirit after all."

I can hear the pride in it's voice, as if it accomplished something amazing. Puzzled, I ask.

"I know what an Earth spirit is, Xue touched upon that but. What's 'Higher Eris'?"

It's the orb's turn to now look confused.

"You, you don't know the spirit tiers?"

"...Um, no."

After what I think is a sigh, the orb begins explaining the tiers to spirits.

According to the orb, there are 8 tiers of Spirits, with 6 of them divided into Lessia, Medis and Higher. The orb only mentioned 6 of the tiers, saying that it's almost impossible to reach the last two. These 6 tiers are Femir, Eris, Dvalic, Cartio, Bulmist and Antemi. Apparently, the reason why the spirit is so happy is that it is supposed to take 200 to 300 years to reach Higher Eris from Lessia Femir. The orb, however, did it in 100.

'This spirit is as old as my Grandma.'

Sighing, I remember an important fact.

'I was supposed to go help with the building...'

Ignoring the boasting the spirit is now continuously doing, I walk over to the trunk of the bonsai. As if letting me through, the branches and vines split open a path for me.

'Seeing as there's a path, I guess I'll take it.'

As I get closer I feel, a connection, of sorts. It's like there's a wire, connecting my thoughts to its own. Arriving at the trunk I try talking in my head, hoping for a response.

'Hello?'

The tree's branches jump, as if startled. With my theory confirmed, I continue.

'Could you retract your branches, or something similar? It'd be difficult to take you back like this.'

The branches shake for a while before they begin shrinking, slowly turning back into the small Bonsai I was greeted with when I entered. Smiling, I pick up the bonsai and turn to walk to the door.

"It's a Lessia Eris."

Startled I jump back and turn, only to see the floating orb that seems to have spoken again. I sigh.

"What do you mean?"

The orb answers.

"When reaching Lessia Eris, we spirits gain a physical form. The Bonsai is a spirit in it's inanimate form, well, we say inanimate because it can't talk without telepathy. Animate form spirits can talk in languages despite their form, they could be a bear, a falcon, a dog, even a starfish. They'd still be able to speak, whereas the inanimate can't do such a thing."

"I see."

'Well, either way, I need to go back now.'

The orb speaks as if they read my mind. Which is entirely possible. "If you're planning on leaving, I recommend you check Room 193 first."

"Why?" I ask.

"It holds something, interesting. To say the least."
