The Saint of the Sultan; Nature Survives

The year is 1260.

10 years have passed since the battle with the crusaders.

The kingdom of sultan Baibars has known 10 years of peace and prosper.

Veles has kept a low profile during these 10 years which has given Anna and her friends lots of time to train, study and spending time with each other.

Anna has also gained a nickname during this time.

Many now see Anna has a folk saint, so everyone everywhere have started to call Anna, Saint Anna.

Which is a nickname Anna does not feel that she is worthy off, but that has not stopped the people from calling her by her nickname.

Archangel Ariel even heard about her daughters nickname and could not help but laugh with joy, which just embarrassed Anna.

Ariel also gave her daughter a very important gift (as a way of celebrating Anna's nickname)

Ariel gave Anna the staff of Moses.

Anna at first refused to accept such a sacred item but Ariel insisted by saying

" Go now and do God's wonders, my dear Saint Anna "

Anna had no other choice but to accept her mother's gift, so she accepted it with tears in her eyes.

We now pick up within the kingdom of Baibars.

Anna and her friends are enjoying some cake, by the famous baker.

" Hey Saint Anna, why do you always carry that old piece of wood with you " said Hadil.

" If only she knew what kind of power that old piece of wood had " said Aziza while enjoying a small piece of cake.

" It is important to me " said Anna.

" Did someone give it to you " said Asia.

" Yes, my mother gave it to me " said Anna.

" I don't think that we have ever met one of your parents " said Hadil.

" Well, they are very busy " said Anna.

" I hope that you will introduce us one day " said Asia.

" Oh, I am sure that the two of you will meet Ariel, but I am afraid it is when you die " said Azi.

Anna slapped Azi with her left hand, sending Azi straight to the ground.

" What was that? " said Asia.

" Oh, just a small fly " said Anna with a fake smile.

Anna got up from the table and then said

" I must be going now "

" Sure, see you later. Just remember that we have something important to discuss later " said Hadil in a serious tone.

Anna was confused and then said

" What? "

Hadil looked straight at Anna and then said

" We have to discuss what boy you like "

Anna and Asia just both looked at Hadil.

" I must be going now " said Anna and walked towards the inner castle.

" You really have to stop " said Asia.

" Yeah right! You're just as curious as I am " said Hadil.

Asia was quiet.

Anna was walking towards the inner castle with the staff of Moses in her right hand.

" Hey Saint Anna, you did not have to slap me out of the air like that " said Azi.

" Well, you should not have said something like that " said Anna.

" Oh come on, I was only joking and not joking. Asia and Hadil are going to meet your mother one day, but first, they are going to meet Azrael and then Ariel " said Azi.

" That may be true but you had no reason to say it " said Gun Ana (from within the ruby on Anna's necklace)

" Alright! I am sorry then " said Azi.

Anna sighed and then said

" You have no need to be sorry, it is me who should be sorry….. How about I give you two big pieces of cake the next time we go to the bakery " said Anna.

" You mean it! Okay I forgive you my Saint Anna " said Azi while hugging Anna's right check.

Anna just smiled and so did Ana.

After having walked for a couple of minutes.

Anna finally reached the throneroom of sultan Baibars.

Baybars was sitting on his throne and Aaqil was standing by his side.

Anna entered the throne room.

" I am here my sultan " said Anna.

" Ah, Saint Anna " said Baibars.

Anna just looked at Baibars.

" My sultan, I kindly ask that you stop calling me that as well " said Anna.

" Saint Anna, the sultan may do as he pleases, he is the sultan after all " said Aaqil.

Anna now looked at Aaqil.

Both Aaqil and Baibars were both smiling.

Anna sighed and then said

" Why is it that you have called for me, my sultan "

Baibars now looked at Anna a little more serious.

" I want you to go and help rebuild the house of wisdom " said Baibars.

Anna just looked at Baibars.

" But why me? And was the house of wisdom not destroyed two years ago " said Anna.

" It is true that the mongols destroyed the house of wisdom but, there are many who are trying to rebuild the house of wisdom, those people have asked that I send Aaqil out to help them but Aaqil said that you, Saint Anna, would be a better person for the job " said Baibars.

Anna looked at Aaqil and Aaqil was just smiling.

" I don't know what to say " said Anna.

" Say nothing. Just go and help rebuild the house of wisdom and then return to the kingdom. I expect only the best from my assistance " said Baibars.

Anna smiled and then said

" Yes my sultan. I will leave immerderly and make you both proud " said Anna.

Both Baibars and Aaqil nodded.

Anna ran out of the throne room and wasted no time getting ready to leave.

" So my lord, what do we do about the Mongols " said Aaqil.

" What else can we do but be prepared. For now, Anna will help rebuild the house of wisdom and then she will come back to the kingdom. That is all we can do for now " said Baibars.

Aaqil was concerned but he understood his sultans plan and therefore was quiet.

Anna was on a horse by the gate to the kingdom of Baibars, ready to leave.

" So it seems that we are going on a new adventure " said Azi.

" It seems so " said Anna.

" Just remember Anna, wherever you go, we shall be by your side " said Ana.

Anna smiled and then ran towards the house of wisdom.

Deep within mother nature.

Veles can be seen watering some weathering plants.

" I will do my best to help you get better " said Veles.

Veles then felt someone watching him from behind.

" What do you want, oh King of the sky " said Veles.

From behind Veles walked Perun the god of the sky and many other things.

" I am here to visit a friend " said Perun.

" Since when are we friends " said Veles.

" Don't be like that. It is true that we have had our disagreements but I never once hated you Veles " said Perun with a sincere tone.

Veles just looked at Perun and then continued with watering the dying plants.

" What do you want "

Perun sighed and then said

" I want you to stop "

" Stop what? "

" Stop picking a fight with the Archangels "

Veles turned to look at Perun.

" Are you asking me to stop fighting for nature " said Veles.

" No. All I am asking you to do is stop fighting a losing battle. You are no much for the archangels, so stop challenging them and stop especially attacking the daughter of Ariel " said Perun.

Veles just looked at Perun and then went back to watering the plants.

Perun sighed yet again and then said

" Why? "

" Because the humans are a disease to mother nature and I am the protector of nature " said Veles.

Perun was quiet and just looked at his friend.

Perun then left Veles to do what he loved.

Taking care of mother nature no matter what.
