"So, it's like that," Sylvia said after Reinn finished his explanation regarding last night's unfortunate event for three officers.
"Luckily, your vigilance was high; thus nothing bad happened to you." Sylvia patted her chest in relief at the thought her brother didn't get injured like the other officers.
"Tch, who do you think your brother was? Of course, I wasn't going to blindly trust stranger plea." Reinn clicked his tongue before adding, "Make sure you don't stray away on the way to school. The officer said it's still dangerous to be going outside alone."
Sylvia nodded at her words. Seeing her behaving so obedient, Reinn nodded his head inwardly satisfied before stood up, "I've satisfied your curiosity, right? So, let me rest a bit more."
Collapsed on his bed, Reinn closed his eyes, trying to sleep, but an image of a pair of red eyes on the darkness suddenly appeared within his mind. Abruptly opened his eyes, Reinn breathed hardly while sweat already formed on his forehead, "What was that?"
Why would that scary image emerge on his mind out of nowhere?
Realizing he couldn't sleep due to the horror experience he went through just now, Reinn decides to end his rest time and freshen up to distract his mind. Coming out from his room, he saw Sylvia still on the couch watching TV. Hearing the door creaked open, Sylvia glanced at the Reinn, who seems disturbed by something and exclaimed in surprise, "Eh? Aren't you going to sleep, bro Reinn? Did the TV sound too loud?"
Shaking his head at her, Reinn replied, "No, I just had a bad dream. You continue ur watch."
He just walked for a few steps when his head becomes dizzy, and he ended up crashing against the wall.
"Bro Reinn!" Sylvia quickly ran to him and supported his body.
"I'm sorry." Reinn apologized as he leaned half of his body weight to Sylvia.
"What're you apologizing for?" Sylvia rebuked before placing her palm over his forehead, "Your temperature is high. Let's go to your bed now."
Nodding his head obediently, Reinn, being half-carried by Sylvia were led into his bedroom.
Tucked him under his blanket, Sylvia rechecked his temperature before saying, "Yep, you probably caught a fever. Let me bring medicine and water for you."
Without waiting for his response, she stormed out of the room, leaving Reinn alone by himself.
A minute later, Reinn sees Sylvia entering holding a tray containing a glass of water and some medicine pills.
Helping him rose from his lying posture, she then handed him the glass of water and the medicine pill before instructed, "Drink slowly and carefully."
Glancing at her helplessly, Reinn rolled his eyes, "I know, I'm not a baby."
"But you're a sick person now," Sylvia replied as she laughed while covering her mouth.
Without responding, he put the pill in his mouth and starts drinking the entire glass. Wiped the remaining water on his lips using his thumbs, Reinn handed the glass back, "Thanks."
"Why thanks between family?" Sylvia replied with an amused smile before she stood up and said, "Should I turn the light off?"
Reinn subconsciously about to answer yes, when an image of horrifying pair of red eyes emerged within his mind. Quickly brush that thought off, Reinn answered, "You don't need to."
Though Sylvia feels a bit puzzled about Reinn's decision by choosing not to turn off the light since he usually does, she nevertheless does as per his order and not switching the lamp off.
Watching Sylvia exit his room, he heaved a sigh before covering his eyes with his hands, "What's the meaning of that image?"
Realizing thinking would bring him nowhere, Reinn closed his eyes and tried to imagine cute things such as cats, dogs, hamsters, and rats.
His consciousness gradually drifted away as he fell into a deep sleep in just a minute due to the sickness.
...
--At Night--
After spending his whole day resting and eating, Reinn found himself couldn't sleep at all during the night. With his eyes wide open, he stared at the ceiling blankly. Suddenly, the electricity gets cut off, and the entire house blackened out. In the darkness, a terrifying image of a pair of red eyes emerged once again, but this time, it feels real.
Quickly grabbing his phone at the table beside him, he switches the phone on and proceeds to activate the flashlight option.
With a flashlight on, he directed it over the top of the ceiling to brighten his room. Feeling slightly secure, Reinn was about to check the electricity by heading out from his room when he heard something moving at his terrace. Rising his wariness, he spoke in a cautious tone, "Who's there?"
Since there's no weapon inside his room, he grabbed the nearest thing, which is his own pillow.
"Who's there?" Asked Reinn one more time.
No response...
"Am I wrong? Is the sound created due to my paranoid?" Reinn mumbled in confusion before concluding it was only an illusion created by his mind and already arrived in front of his entrance door when the terrace door roughly slid open.
Without hesitation, he turned the doorknob and started running a few steps but paused on his track when he heard a voice came from behind him, "Come to me~ Come to me~."
As if getting hypnotizing, Reinn body gets paralyzed, and from the reflection of the large picture frame in front of him, he could see vaguely a tall-figure is standing inside his room. He wanted to shout out but realize no sound coming out from his mouth. His state currently was just like a fish trying to catch a breath on the ground.
Since the mysterious figure controls his body, Reinn body sluggishly turned around, and now, he can see vividly what's the thing that infiltrates his house.
