Chapter 9: Soul-Heart Academy

Riley said that Soul-Heart Academy was a big school but I didn't expect it to be as big as it is. Like seriously, it's gigantic. You could fit multiple mansions into it. I am also still far away from it, in a plane. That just makes it seem even bigger.

Riley had gone to my house and talked to my mum. Apparently, she knew her from when she was in school with my dad. They talked about life since they last talked, which was at my dads funeral, before they went on to me going to the academy.

Noah talked with Riley to and insisted he goes to the academy to which she didn't say no to since he had magic too and it was a magic school where you go to train and learn more about your magic. Noah then had to go and talk with Danielle and tell her about him going to a different school.

The plane finally landed and me, Noah and Riley got off. Riley then called a car and we made are way to the academy. When I was in the plane the school looked big but now that I am standing right in-front of it, I am shocked by its size. The gate itself is around 12 foot tall and 20 foot long.

As soon as the gate opened and we got in you could tell that the school was for people with magic. It took about 2 seconds from the gate opening for a ball of lighting to go whizzing by my head. Luckily I saw it coming and had time to dodge or I would have been seriously hurt from it.

"Ya, I should have warned you about the fact that fights take place everywhere and anywhere you can think of. You have to watch out all the time or you could be having a trip to the infirmary." Riley said after I had dodged the ball of lightning.

"Ya I can see that. There are literally 10 fights happening just in the front of the school."

"Well we should go the principles office and get you guys sorted out." Riley mentions as she starts to walk to the door that leads into the school.

We manage to get to the door and into the academy without anymore flying balls of lighting threatening to send us to the infirmary, however there was one or two balls of dirt that luckily missed us. When we get into the school it looks like a mansion but with students running around. There is a huge staircase in the middle with 4 hallways going off in different directions.

Riley takes us into one of the hallways which she explains to us is specifically for offices and rooms for staff and guests that may come to the school. We see a fancy wooden door as we reach the end of the hall and I see a wooden plaque that says 'headmasters office' on it.

"His name is Mr. Soul. He has been the headmaster of the school since it was created." Riley says as we reach the door.

"But isn't the school a hundred years old or something?" I ask very confused.

"Yes it is Sam. Mr. Soul's power allows him to live for a long time if not forever. I am not exactly sure on the specifics though. I know there's something he has to do to stay alive but i'm not sure what." Riley explains as she knocks on the door and opens it.

When she opens the door me and Noah are left in shook. The room is bigger then the outside and it looks like it's from the Renaissance. It looks like it should be a study or something in a mansion.

I see a man that looks like he is in his 30's sitting behind a big, fancy wooden desk in the middle of the room. He must be the principle and you could never guess he was over 100 years old, besides the room design however.

"Hello, you must be Sam and Noah." Mr. Hall says as he nods his head at Riley which she takes as a sign to leave.

"My name is Mr. Hall and I welcome you to my school. I have a meeting soon so I can't talk for long so i'll make this quick. You both will start the school officially in a weeks time. Until then you will be allowed to walk around the school and get used to where everything is. A older student will be hear in a minute and will show you to your room which you will share." Mr. Hall says as he gets up from his desk and walks to the door.

"The student should be here soon. If you have any questions, ask her and if she can't answer any I will talk to you both tomorrow so you can ask me then." He says as he walks out the door, closing it behind him.

We waited for about 15 minutes before a student came in.

"Hello Sam and Noah. My name is Mia and I will be showing you around the school and answering any questions you might have. Before we do anything I will give a bit of information about myself since I have read your file and know information about you. Is that fine with you two?" Mia asks as she looks between me and Noah.

"Ya that is fine." Me and Noah say simultaneously.

"Great, well my name is Mia as I already said and I am Riley's adopted daughter. My magic is weapon control and equip magic. I can store weapons to use whenever I want and can control them as if I was using telekinesis. I am one of the top 20 students in the school and before you ask, yes, this is an official ranking." She explains to us.

"Damn, you must be really strong since there's around 2500 students in this school." Noah says in shock.

"Thank you. Well when your magic is controlling deadly, strong weapons you can do some serious damage."

"Are your weapons just normal weapons or do they have any special features like being fire proof, or are they like magical weapons?" I ask curiously.

"Most are normal weapons but I do have a few magical ones incase a fight starts to get a bit to difficult." Mia reply's.

Wow she must be strong and skilled to be able to have and use multiple different magical weapons.

"Well I guess I should bring you around to show you where everything is." Mia says as she heads to the door and opens it. "Lets go boys."

Me and Noah go out the door and then follow her around as she shows us where everything is.
