SHOUTOUT!!! AUTHOR GIVES THANKS & Answers Reviews
A/N: Dear Readers Thank you for the reviews, I am touched that though few, I am reaching readers across the globe and I am awed by the response.
Ordinarily, I have a lot of faith in my writing skill set, because I've been writing stories for ten years now.
I initially started with a really crappy Play about a Spanish Princess who is a justice-riddled maniac and an English Soldier who is the epitome of indifference. They
clash, often violently. The English Soldier meets the princess as a Royal Guest after saving the Queen and her son (the princess' younger brother) from a rather almost tragic yet might not have been altogether drastic situation. He's a very classy hero. On occasions when he's not tormenting the Princess by ignoring her, at often
times, lengthy lectures on "Justice Must Be Served", he harbors a secret that isn't all that dark, but I sure wrote it that way. It was received well by my family, but I was sixteen and not really sure if publishing it was a good idea.
My second venture after many many many critics and critiques to my style into a very complicated First Person style with the aid of Harry Potter fanfiction, and let me tell you that was terrifying and well it didn't end well. I posted in Fanfiction.net and it's on a permanent Hiatus until I can figure out how my brain is supposed to work since I lost Faith in the story idea after an intense bout of writer's block.
After Harry Potter, I wrote a fanfiction Piece based on an original idea for the Castle TV series, starring the characters Alexis Castle and Kevin Ryan and it's still going strong on Wattpad.
However, my writing style flourished with Teen Wolf the most.
I started with STEREK and it took off with redbull wings and soared high and then I fell in love with STETER.
But I digress... I'm now concentrating on my first ever ORIGINAL NOVEL.

To Samuel_Pieper >> I actually started writing this story in 2013, there were several drafts, and many, many, many titles, to the point where even I couldn't choose one, and I almost chucked the entire story in the bin. But then I read this story, "A cultivation" based Korean web-toon, and I was charmed helplessly. According to the Cultivation, (修真) is a Taoist concept that describes extending one's lifespan through practicing martial and mystical arts, with the goal of cultivating Qi: the spiritual life force.
And a lot of the time, people always end up in helpless situations when discriminated against, be they Black, White, Green, Gay, Lesbian, Non-Binary and others (some people really don't like labels), and I wanted the concept "Borrowed Power is still Power" to be a thing. So for that Spiritualism is a big part of this book. Thank you for the comment!!!

Second of all, Thank you!!! Honestly, I have no idea how the book recommendations work on this site, I'm still learning how it works.
Can't do much about the characters, wanna know a secret, I created them, yes, but pssst... don't tell anyone, they tend to revolt and hold board-meetings, their demands
in my brain are outrageous. Xhe and Fiona compete for more lines, it's a regular Telenovella in me head...siiiiigh... :D
About the Cultivation idea, I'm surprised someone even caught that. Goes to show how amazing you are, and how much you read. Kudos! Though there is a small difference, whilst most Cultivations are steeped in martial and mystical arts and strengthening of their Qi, the Ascendants are different. Though if you've reached
thus far (twelve chapters) then you may have noted the explanations briefly given by Fiona, James, Marcia, and Hikaru. Like I mentioned to Samuel Pieper And a lot of the time, people always end up in helpless situations when discriminated against, be they Black, White, Green, Gay, Lesbian, Non-Binary and others (some people really don't like labels), and I wanted the concept "Borrowed Power is still Power" to be a thing. So for that Spiritualism is a big part of this book, people should never believe they are weak... And to always fight back against such injustice.
Third of all; I read a lot, Manga, manhwa, manhua, novels (web and Light), books, and well everything else in between. I love overpowered Male Leads. But I can't write that, because I like envisioning an end where things can be concluded in a way that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. And Zen is already strong enough as a human as Ascendant he will definitely be an obvious hero. But as you said limits are required, and well yes, they all have limits. Marcia even mentions that more than one person cannot have the same Ascendant gift. Otherwise, can you imagine more than a few gods and goddesses in Ascendants? They'll overpower the entire population, never mind plain boring normal humans! Screwing with Balance, Nope, I don't want that level of cliche!!!
Now Lastly, I've divided the arcs into three parts.
Part I: 1st Year, since they're essentially strangers and like New in school, of course they're going to have to learn to like each other and understand each other, not to mention grasp their Ascendant gifts. Let's just say the first year is Hella awkward for everyone. It's Like the First Day of School. You're gonna make friends, probably have a bunch of rivals, have best friends, a brother, a sister, a nemesis. First Year is EMOTIONAL & MENTAL HELL!!!
Part II: They'll be given missions. We have Dungeon diving, Relic Hunting, Actual Field excersions. after a year of working with each other, now it's PRACTICAL HELL, and they have to figure out what the great Evil is.
Part III: Part 3 is basically tackling everything related to The Great Evil and The destruction of the world...

Now about the Publishing Times >>> It takes me a week to write a chapter. I mean I can write it in one day, but it would suck... so three days to write the chapter and two days to add and or edit the currently written chapter. Basically, I post a new chapter on the weekends come Hell or High water. And I chose Saturday Night ( I live in a city where there isn't a Night Life...It's dead boring, but hey, you guys get a new chapter) as an excellent time to actually post the chapter.
Admittedly, there are some chapters that really really really are difficult to articulate and I don't post it on Saturday and takes an extra week. But for the following chapters I know what's going to happen, so today, the 30th and the 6th of Feb, the timings will have a new chapter uploaded have been set in stone. Even I can't mess with that...LOL.
About the previous weeks, well a lot has been going on, if you've read so far then it wouldn't be remiss of me to tell you all, receiving the worst and best news on
January First was well weird, to say the least. On one hand, I found out my mom had to be rushed to The ICU for kidney failure, she apparently threw up a lot of blood.
I'm not in the same city as her and so I had o leave her treatment to my two truly ridiculous brothers... UGH....
