Prelude

She was standing in a crowd looking as elegant as royalty. Beside her is the grand piano, waiting for her. The spotlight and the dry air-condition made beads of sweat on her forehead. On the stage, it's only her and the grand piano, sitting inches away from her. Her hands slightly trembled, and her breathing was shallow.

She took a deep breath started to walk on the center stage, where the piano waited for her. She bobbed a curtsy to the audience and sat on the velvet cushioned chair. She placed her hands on the keys and chanted her mantra, offering a solemn prayer.

" Elohim Essaim, Elohim Essaim, I invoke thee."

She presses the keys, rich sounds escaping from the giant instrument. Soon enough, her playing enthralled the crowd, seeking to hear more of this enchanting melody she creates.

As the notes hit the audience's ears, everyone was mesmerized by her fingers, dancing on the ivory keys. The brown, wispy hair from her beautiful face moving with the dusty wind.

With each nod of her head, her spirit became almost an aura. And every note she plays conveys a secret message passed to someone she held dear. The whole theater went away, making it her own. Everything was a blur as the transcending experience continues to enthrall the audience.

Finally, after the exhilarating experience, she hits the last beautiful note. Resonance filled the air, replacing joy and sadness as she rests her trembling hands on the ivory keys of the piano. She felt relief and longing for someone she held dear.

She remained in her seat, beads of sweat trickling down her forehead because of the dry air-condition. The cheers and applause of the crowd seemed to drown her, but she remained in her seat. And as the tears she held back fell, she uttered the word she dreaded to hear.

"Goodbye."
