'My Eternity'

At the point I began getting completely suffocated by the thoughts that haunted my soul, I sensed her shifting in the car seat. She extricated me out of my misery just by blinking a couple of times.

"How are you feeling, Linnet?" I asked, hoping she was not in pain anymore.

"I feel... light." Her answer aided in solacing me a bit.

"That's because I've healed your bruises, thankfully it helped," I told her.

"What about Brandt and those guys? What did you do with them?"

"An accident occurred in an old garage, it caught fire."

This distorted version of the incident was all she needed to know. What occurred there, would remain just among me and Brandt. The spell I cast on him to pressure trap him wasn't the strongest one so it should wear off by now and he must've had made a run for his life after getting cooked inside out. This near-death experience must plague him for the rest of his life.
