She didn't lie to me, it was me who was lying to myself.

“What's all this,” I asked Noah while getting out of my car as soon as he drove me to the orphanage, talking to him through the partially opened window adjacent to his seat.

The cops were still everywhere in front of Joy's house.

“I told you we shouldn't be here, if anyone linked you with her....,"

"I know it'll be a mess, you've told me this hundred times already," I said, cutting him off.

“Look if, Mr Lee…,” he mumbled.

"I just want to know if she's here or not," I said, with a sigh.

"I'll go and check.....," he said, turning back to me.

“No! you just wait here, I'll be going,” I replied while taking a deep breath. And pushed my thoughts about any jinx in my subconscious mind.

“I don't think you should go there, there are so many people here,” he said, forcing on the subject.

“Thanks, but I think this is something I need to handle,” I replied, and opened my car's door.
