Sunday 15th Of September

Rilie wakes up to the sound of her sister, "Rilie! Mum said wake up!" She scrunches her face up, dangling her leg off her bed. "I'm up, I'm up." her sister smiles and skips out of the door, she jumps up out of the bed in a huge fuss and falls straight onto the floor, pulling the blankets along with her. "You'd think because I'm 1 of 9 they'd cut me some slack, right Sam?" She looks around... "Sam?" She giggles then looks under her bed, she gets up and starts looking around. "...Sam?" The tone of her voices sounded as though she was lost, confused and troubled all at the same time, trying to figure out a puzzle that had too many pieces, she started to panic. "Oh... My god! Where is he?" She flings her door wide open and runs downstairs tripping down the last step, "Whoa, honey slowdown will ya." She smiles and hugs her mother tightly, "Mum! How comes your home?" her mother grabs her tea from the counter then sits down, "I'm going later tonight." Her mother reaches for the remote and Rilie has a quick look around the sitting room, "Where has everyone gone?" Her mother stares down at her tea, "They all went out." Rilie sighs, "Did they...Take money off you?" Her mother laughs, "No honey." Rilie breathes in relief, "Good." She kisses her mother on the cheek, "I'll make dinner." Her mother gives her a warm smile, "Ok, I'm going to have a little rest." Rilie grabs ingredients from the fridge, "Relax, I've got this." Her mother nods and she walks upstairs into her room, hearing the door shut she starts cooking, "Where did you go Sam." She grabbed plates and cups, 3 hours later everyone was back and Rilie has finally finished the food, she calls everyone and they grab a plate and place themselves around the television. "How'd you like it?" Her mother smiles, "It's wonderful, Save some for your dad please honey." Her mother rushes it into her mouth and puts the plate down, "Bye kids!" They all say their goodbyes and she smiles as she runs out to the car and drives away, her 3 older brothers offer to clean up and Rilie writes a note to her father about the food saved for him. She then looks around the house curious to where Sam wandered off to, she walks in her room and sits on her bed. "Maybe if I go to sleep... He'll turn up in the morning... He will." she convinced herself that he'd turn up and her eyes closed smiling painfully.
