Chapter Three

Going through my laptop, I figured I didn't have any hobby asides writing. "You coming?" Clara asked, getting herself dolled up. "Where?" I asked. "With me, you know, with the boys" she replied, "where exactly are you guys going?" I asked. "Nowhere, its just a ride", she replied.

A ride? Should be interesting.

"You should come with us or do you have anything doing today?" She said. "Not really, just some couple of things I need to do some research on" I replied.

Shut up Stella.

"You could totally do all that later, come with, I hate being the only girl with the boys" she uttered. "Alright, let me dress up" I replied, standing up from my bed. I wore a white blouse, making my not so perfect body, well structured, with a pair of blue jeans then packed my hair back.

"I'm ready" I said. "Damn girl! You look good!" Clara admired. "Okay let's go" she continued. I grabbed my phone with my air pods.

As I and Clara walked towards the parking lot, I had to break the silence as the smiles we gave each other became really weird. "So" I uttered. "So..." She replied. "Do you have other friends asides them? I mean the boys" I asked.. "Of course I do, but I don't really spend time with them like I do with the boys" she replied.

"Must be nice, really nice" I said softly. "Are you kidding? Spending time with them is hell sometimes you know, I mean look at them, August, he is the loneliest and saddest amongst them but he never admits it. Axel on the other hand, Damn! That boy is literally a Spanish god, you know something?" she said.

"What?" I asked in response to her question. "He is low key really cute, the sweetest person, he's just going through some things at the moment,I basically hang with them because of Diego" she explained as we arrived at the car.

"We will all fit into that?" I asked, staring at the car. "Hell yeah!" Clara exclaimed as she cuddled herself around Diego. "Get in", Axel said. "You can sit at the front with Axel while I sit with these ones over here" August said. We all got into the car as Axel drove off fast and quietly.

"You look nice" Axel commended me, making me have a huge awkward smile on my face. "Where exactly are we headed?" I asked. "You'll see" Diego replied.

I brought out my air pods, searched for the right songs on my weird playlist and let the soothing breeze blow my face.

"Hola" Diego said on a call, "Si, Si, I'll let him know" he continued. "What happened?" Clara asked him. "It's nothing" he replied then tapped Axel on his shoulder, "what?!", Axel asked. "It was Ricardo, you know the rest" Diego replied him. Axel didn't respond, everywhere became quiet until August broke the silence, "we are here!" He uttered loudly.

Axel pulled over and we all came down. "The woods?" I asked, questioning myself why I agreed to come with them.

Don't act like you had something doing Stella.

"Yeah isn't it cool?" August said. "This is exactly how horror movies start" I said as we walked into the woods.

We stopped.

"Perfect" Axel uttered.

What was so perfect? What was he talking about? I mean, we are literally in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of weird looking trees and he said perfect.

"The view" he said, bringing me out of my thoughts, "oh right!" I replied awkwardly. He smiled, staring at me.

"Found it! Guys!!!" August yelled, calling our attention as we ran towards him. "Wow!" I said, both in excitement and in amusement.

Behold, we stood on top of an actual cliff.

"Are we jumping in?" I asked curiously. "Oh yes we are darling", Clara replied, pulling off her outfit and jumping into the water. "I- I am not going to do that" I said backing down.

"Its really nice, remove the fear and take the risk, just jump" Diego said as he jumped off the cliff, "I'm coming babe" he yelled.

"I've got to have some of this, see you on the other side guys" August said as he jumped.

"You're not going in?" I asked Axel, "I'm waiting for you" he replied.

"For me? I'm not going in, absolutely not" I said. "What if we jump together? Not that I want to but I can't let any wild animal eat you up, the guys would murder me" he replied.

"Well, that's certain" I said,considering everything.

Fuck it.

I removed my outfit, held hands with Axel and exhaled. "Is this safe?" I asked. He didn't respond.

He stared at me before pulling me with him off the cliff, "Absolutely not" he yelled as we jumped into the water.

Best day of my life.

We played around in the water. Apparently, Diego and Clara were busy making out while I just floated on the water.

"Its funny how you didn't want to get in before but you're really enjoying yourself now" Axel said.

Was he really talking to me? I'm freaking out!

"I know right" I replied, laughing awkwardly.

I think I scared him away. He swam away from me.

"The water is nice" I yelled, trying to get his attention.

He swam back to me. "It is" he replied. "I can't believe I was actually scared to jump in" I uttered.

Stop talking Stella.

"I was scared too" he replied. "You were?" I asked him. He smiled and swam away.

"Axel Martinez" August said, swimming in front of me. "Hey August" I said. "I have a feeling you two will end up pretty close" he said.

I have that feeling too.

"Why do you say so?" I asked stupidly. "You're different" he replied, smiled and swam away.

After hours of enjoying the soothing water, it was time to go. "How in the world are we going to get up there" Clara said, looking up at the hill as we walked out of the water.

"We have to walk" Axel replied. "Walk?" Clara said. "It's not a big deal babe, we can do this" Diego assured her.

We walked up the hill, without having conversations, "finally!" Clara exclaimed. We grabbed our clothes.

"You can dress up over there" August suggested, pointing me to a direction. "Thanks" I said. I walked there, wore my outfit, this time, I let my hair down.

"Let's go" Diego uttered. We walked back to the car. "No service" I said, looking at my phone. "There isn't meant to be service, we are in the woods" Axel said as he walked to the driver's seat.

Well duh, I knew we were in the woods.

"Enjoyed yourself today?" Clara asked me. "Yeah I did" I replied, smiling at her. "There are some drinks in the back" August said, opening the back of the car. "Yeah right, anyone care for a beer?" Diego asked.

"Remember I don't drink" I said. "Yeah Stella, we know, you don't look like the drinking type" Diego replied. "Bro, do you need?" August yelled.

He walked towards Axel. "Beer?" He offered, "thanks" Axel said. "I've got service, do you need to call someone?" Axel said to me.

I walked towards him and into the car. "Yeah, my mom" I said. He handed me his phone and opened his can of beer. I dialed my mom's number.

"Hey! Mom, how are you?" I said on the call. "Hey honey, I'm okay, what about you? Are you having fun" she replied. "Yeah I am, I sort of went out with a couple of friends, we are in the woods" I said, "seems exciting, we miss you honey" she replied. "I miss you guys too, how is mom? Chris? How are they doing, I've been trying to call mom's cell but its not going through" I said. "She's okay, Chris is fine, yeah her phone has been bad, we are working on it, she will call you real soon okay?" She replied.

"Okay mom, alright I've got to go, love you" I said, smiling. "Love you too honey" she replied. I cut the line.

"Must be nice" Axel uttered. "Nice?" I said handing him his phone. "Having two moms" he replied.

"Oh" I laughed. "My family's weird" I continued. "Weird is cool, my family is something I don't want to belong" he replied.

"How?" I asked. "Aren't you drinking?" He asked, avoiding my question and the ongoing conversation.

"I don't drink" I replied. "Oh right" he said. "August kept some soft drinks in the cooler" he continued.

August, Diego and Clara entered the car, "here you go Stella" August handed me my drink. "Thanks" I said, smiling.

"You all ready?" Axel asked while starting the car. "Drive" Clara said.

We headed back to campus. Axel drove softer and far better than when we left school. I stared at all of them and smiled. Axel played some music which made Clara, Diego and August start singing along.

Also made me sing along for a bit before closing my eyes to let the breeze blow my face while I clashed with them calmly.

Axel didn't sing along with us for a long while, "you know this song Martinez, sing!" August yelled. Axel finally joined us.

Today was thrilling.

Repeating this again, Best day of my life.
