Episode 5

After four weeks..

It was a daily routine for both of them to go to work together then she would go with him in his elevator and the same returning. Elnaz had made friends at work because of which the work place had grown interesting for her. They had made a mini group which consisted of her, Gavin, Sonya and Ryan. She would during lunch go out with them and later would return back with them.

Rafay had kept a tab on her. She worked hard and tried to make least mistakes. He tried the best to get to her but impressively he found least mistakes in her work and if he did he didn't left any opportunity to point it out at her.

She was aware of how strict was Rafay with his work as all her friends told her about him. She thought he hated her so she tried to keep their conversation minimum. While he thought she ignored him. As usual she would wait for him at the parking lot and they would leave together with their driver Richard.

Today while she waited for him sitting on chair his driver Richard informed her that Rafay had already came down and went out to bring some coffee till she showed up.

It had snowed in the morning and the view around the building looked beautiful. Getting up

She went near the recliner and watched the peoples passing by. Then suddenly she was caught off guarded when she spotted Rafay with three cups of coffee walking fast. He was near the building when all of a sudden he slipped and fell down but he managed to save the coffee but unfortunately one the coffee cups fell down on the ice spilling out.

She couldn't control her laughter as her laugh boomed the silent area. He looked up at her embarrassed but then he was mesmerized with the voice of her laughter. She laughed whole heartedly while he stared at her. After a moment when she took a note of his staring she quickly subsided her laughing spree and sobered up. Going out she took the coffee cups from him while she helped him stand up. He made a child like irritated face because of his wet pants. Seeing it she laughed again but when he quirked a brow at her she shook her head and went in the parking lot. He thanked allah as no other saw his epic fall.

Following her he sat in the car and gave one coffee cup to Richard while the other to Elnaz. She quickly declined him but he insisted knowing how much she loved coffee during winters. On his insistance she agreed but on condition that they would share which he reluctantly agree. She felt bad that his coffee cup fell down and made the condition to him. After she drank some of it she gave him the cup.

"Here. Drink from here." She showed him as for where she hadn't drank from. He took the cup and gave the least heading to her instruction. It was not that he purposely did it. Just his mind was somewhere else. He was lost in some thoughts.It was strange for him as they shared the cup but what was more strange for Elnaz was that he drank from where she did.

'He is strange!' She thought.

Rafay had grown accustomed to her presence. It was not something he was aware off. There was not a lot of change his behaviour. Just minor as in waiting for her while going to office, winding up work earlier knowing she is waiting in parking, checking up on her while he got time, learning of her presence during dinner, breakfast. He hadn't done anything of this on purpose it was just his heart was taking note of her.

During dinner.

"How are you coping up with work Elnaz?" Rehan asked while having dinner.

"Pretty good uncle." She replied smiling.

"I hope you don't have any difficulty while your stay here." He added.

"No uncle. Everythings good."

"Time is passing so fast. Already a month has passed. You know after Firdaus got married this house went all quiet and you know this father and son they hardly talk. Now that you are here it seems good to have you company. The house feels lively." Umera said smiling warmly at her to which Elnaz blushed.

"Same here aunty." She replied.

"In next five months you would leave. Then again i would be alone. By the way what do you think about marriage?" His mother asked her at which she was caught off gaurded and that topic seemed to have catch his interest as he looked up to her.

"Hmm.. i have not given it a thought aunty." She stuttered.

"Ohh. Who ever you marry he would be lucky though." His father complimented and she blushed red while Rafay felt uncomfortable at the topic.

"Yeah. You know Rafay today Firdaus was asking about your marriage. Wether you have found her a sister in law or she should help you with it?" His mother inquired while gauging his reaction.

"Mom tell her to focus on something important." He replied sarcastically.

"Ohh. Means you have found her." His mother concluded.

"Ahh! No mom. Its just that i have no time for this." He replied getting up and leaving the room with a glance at Elnaz who seemed to be interested in her food and nothing else.

....

It was saturday next day which meant holiday from work. So Elnaz like usual got up from her sleep and after breakfast focused on cleaning her room or wardrobe.

"Allah. Why didn't i cleaned it last week." She muttered remembering how she had busied herself in her novel.

The door to her room was open as she had not bothered to close it. It was not like they didn't had maids to do the cleaning but it was just that she didn't liked someone else doing her work and on the other hand she being sitting with nothing to do.

Arranging her wardrobe she pulled her blankets , dusting them with a cloth. While doing so her messy bun opened and the blanket seemed uneasy to be folded.

Whats wrong with this.?

It was then she spotted a cockroach on her bed on which she screamed so loud that Rafay being on the same floor got a heart attack. Thinking something happened he rushed to the direction of her shriek and stood at her door staring at her questioningly. He glanced at her the direction where she stared and found a cockroach and nearly face palmed himself.

Seriously?

"Did you screamed because of a cockroach?" He asked her as if it was not obvious from her expression to which she nodded stupidly. Shaking his head he took a tissue from the dresser and picket up the cockroach and threw it out of window.

"I am sorry if i disturbed you." She uttered as he was about to step out of room.

"Disturbed you literally had me panicked." He told her half glaring her

"Panicked? You didn't had to worry about it." She replied ignoring his eye contact.

"Serious but if some one shouts out like that anyone would panick and especially if its you." He pointed out.

"Me? Why?" She asked him which caught him without clue because he himself didn't knew why he would say that. Without bothering to reply he left the room and stomped out.
