Two boys, Ersel and Lino, were childhood best friends for three years. One day, while Lino went to visit his grandparents with his parents for several days, Ersel suddenly goes to Manila with his parents without even leaving a word or letter, making the former sad and angry. As soon as everyone from both teams were properly assembled, Coach Luis, with his hands on his waist, said, “Alright, everyone! Listen carefully. What we will be doing is that you will play four quarters of this game, with each quarter being ten minutes long, just like a normal basketball game.” Coach Luis turned to the first years and said, “First years, I don’t care whether you win this game or not, but I will be evaluating each of you based on your skills and teamwork. Of course, it goes without saying that you will do your best to win. Do you all understand?” 


“Yes!” all the first years said in unison. 


“Good,” Coach Luis said with a grin. Then Coach Luis turned to the higher years and said, “And as for you, higher years, don’t hold yourself back against the first years. Do your best so that their potentials will be maxed out. Do you understand?” 


“Yes!” all the guys from the other team answered in unison.
