Chapter 6

After Katashi left the house, Saira laid on the bed in a daze. She had mixed feelings. She felt embarrassed, happy, satisfied, confused, worried, and frustrated. She was overwhelmed with different kinds of emotions. At the phone ringtone, Saira snapped out from her dreamland and went to pick up her phone. When Saira saw Tadame calling, Saira remembered right away. She was supposed to call Tadame once she reaches home, but she forgot once she saw Katashi. Saira answered the phone right away. Once Saira answered the phone Tadame talked right away.

▫️Tadame: " Saira-Chan?!! Are you ok?? Did you get hurt?? Why haven't you called me? I was worried."

Saira was taken back by how Tadame was worried about her for a while and apologized to Tadame for making her worried.

▫️Saira: " Tadame-San, I'm sorry for making you worried. I bumped into someone I know and forgot to call you. Sorry for the trouble."

▫️Tadame: " Is that so?! What a relief ~~ I thought something happened to you. That's good. Saira-Chan, Have you had your dinner yet?"

As Tadame was talking from the kitchen in her house Katashi came in quietly as his mother was talking on the phone and poured himself a cold fruit juice. He stood beside his mother while drinking his cold juice.

▫️Saira: " Oh... It's dinner time already. I guess I will prepare something quick to eat and review for tomorrow's exam. "

▫️Tadame: " I see. Don't skip your dinner or else you won't have any strength to review. If you would like I can bring you dinner."

▫️Saira: " No need for that. Thank you for your consideration."

▫️Tadame: "Ok then, eat well, and sleep well. Hope you do well on tomorrow's exam. I'll be there once you finish. Umm, you too."

Saira thanked Tadame and wished her a good night. After Tadame hanged up the phone with Saira, she sighed " What a poor child." Said Tadame. Katashi wondered what made his mother sigh and what did she mean by a poor child. Katashi asked his mother about what's going on. Tadame wanted to tell him but since she also has to tell her daughter Usagi, who is also Katashi's sister, and her oldest son Yoshinori, who is Katashi's older brother. she told Katashi that she would tell everyone at the dinner table.

Katashi understood and went back to his room. Tadame made dinner for her family and set the table ready. Tadame called Katashi and everyone to come down to the dining table for dinner.

Everyone came down to the dining table including her husband Taiyo and sat on their regular seats.

▫️Everyone: " Itadakimasu ~" [ = Let's eat, Bon appétit, or Thanks for the food.]

▫️Katashi: "Mom, you said you wanted to say something."

▫️Tadame: " Oh, Right. I wanted to tell you guys that from tomorrow a girl who I think she is the same age as Usagi is going to live with us for a while due to some circumstances, so, please be nice to her and get along together."

▫️Taiyo: "She will use the next room to Usagi. So Usagi after dinner please help your mom in preparing the room."

▫️Yoshinari: " It's ok dad, I'll help. Usagi and Katashi have exams."

▫️Taiyo: "Then I'm counting on you."

Yoshinari Kobayashi is the eldest son. He is in 1st year of medical school. 3 years older than Katashi. He is just like Katashi, handsome, smart, friendly, and cool. However, he is more straightforward, serious, and more friendly. He cares a lot about his family and he has had 2 girlfriends in the past.

▫️Usagi: " Mom, have you seen her before? How is she? How does she look like?"

Usagi Kobayashi, the youngest. Her personality is a little bit different from that of Katashi and Yoshinori. She is playful, honest, straightforward, cute, curious, and smart. Yoshinari and Katashi dot on her a lot.

▫️Tadame: " Yes, I have met her. She is kind, quiet, she has that aura of a cold girl but she is so cute and beautiful just like her mother and father and she makes you want to protect her. And if you want to know her name you can know it tomorrow. It's better if she introduced herself to you."

▫️Taiyo: "Honey, you are going to make Usagi more curious like that."

Tadame smiled.

▫️Usagi: " You know her parents? "

Tadame nodded her head.

▫️Usagi: " Who are they?? Do you have a picture of, them,? I'm curious how beautiful they, are!" asked curiously.

▫️Tadame: " About that... Sorry, it's top-secret right now. I and your father were asked not to tell a soul."

▫️Usagi: "What?! But we are a family?! It's ok you can tell us. You said they are beautiful so share the beauty with us too~"

Tadame and Taiyo chuckled.

▫️Taiyo: " Secret is a secret, my dear. You can't tell us about your friend's secret right?!"

Taiyo Kobayashi the owner of a very famous Jewellery brand (Crystal Pure). He is serious at work but so friendly at home. He is handsome and charismatic.

▫️Usagi: "Then at least tell us what middle school she attends?"

▫️Tadame: " Hmm, if I'm not wrong she goes to the same middle school as Katashi. J's Middle school."

▫️Usagi: "Then I guess she knows Katashi-Oniichan." [ Oniichan= older brother and chan show that she is close to her brother.]

▫️Yoshinari: " That means trouble for Katashi." turned to Katashi with a teasing smile.

▫️Katashi: " If that's the case I'll ignore her. I don't care."

▫️Usagi: " uwoo~ are we going to see some drama?~"

▫️Tadame: " (chuckle) She is not like that don't worry. Oh! That's right, her birthday is on 8th April so I think she is a little bit older than Usagi? Since Usagi's birthday on October 1st."

▫️Usagi: "For God's sake, that doesn't make any difference. We were born in the same year and we are in the same year in school."

▫️Tadame: "well, I guess you are right. I guess what she had been through made her a little bit mature." Tadame murmured.

▫️Usagi: "What do you mean?"

▫️Tadame: " Nothing, I said after tomorrow's exam I'm going to pick up her from school, do you want me to pick you up?"

▫️Usagi: " If you told me earlier I would have wanted to, but I will drop by the cafe with my friends after the exam."

▫️Tadame: " I see."

After dinner, Usagi and Katashi went to review their exams. Yoshinari helped Tadame to clean up and prepare the room.

After Saira hanged up the call with Tadame, she worked out for 30 minutes and took a quick shower. After that, she prepared a salad and yogurt for dinner and reviewed her exams. After she finished, she called her mother. Saira was worried about her mother since today was her father's wedding.

However, Michi, her mother's manager answered her instead of her mother.

▫️Michi: " Saira-Chan, your mother is sleeping right now. As you know tomorrow we have an early flight."

▫️Saira: " How is she? Did she drink?"

▫️Michi: "Well..." Michi fell silent for a long time. She was hesitant to tell Saira about what's going on with her mother.

▫️Saira: "Michi-San??"

▫️Michi: "She is as always. (laugh awkwardly) "

▫️Saira: "... I see. Then at what time the flight tomorrow? I would like to talk to mom before..."

▫️Michi: "Oh! You don't have to because once she wakes up everything will be so hectic and busy. Your final exam is tomorrow, right? wish you the best, now I have to go. There are things I should prepare before tomorrow comes."

Michi closed the line in a hurry after she said what she wanted to.

Saira knew that her mother was not alright. There is no way she could be. After the divorce, her mother was depressed and cried a lot every day. Saira always felt that her mother was hiding something from her. Every time Saira asked her mother, she would change the subject, run away, or bring up the work as her excuse. When Saira asks Michi, Michi would act the same way. Saira wondered what is going on, no matter how hard she thinks, nothing comes to her mind.

After the call, Saira packed up some of the things which she will take it to Tadame's house tomorrow and some she will pack after she comes back from the exam hall because she has to use them tomorrow morning like skincare, some makeup, toothbrush...etc.

After that Saira went to bed with so many things in her mind.
