Archive III: About the Praeceptor (Aleph Von Erich and Gres Calibri)

The Praeceptor is a mortal Entity who surrendered full control of their soul to a god so that the said god could use their body to interact with the physical world. In a simpler sense, the Praeceptor is someone who sold their soul and offered their body to a god. Without a Praeceptor, a god would be nothing but an abstract force that enforces their will and shares a few of their plentiful mana in return for their follower's devotion. But that's it. Without a physical body, a god cannot directly interact with the physical world. They cannot touch objects, cast spells, or strike with a weapon. Nevertheless, a god is not powerless without a mortal shell. They can still share their mana with the world and use their System to aid their followers.

The Praeceptor's duty differs from each god, but generally speaking, they are fully expected to uphold the will, enforce the laws, empower the culture, share the principle, teach the doctrine, and spread the canon of their sovereign god. It is exactly as their name implies. The Praeceptor follows a god's precept.

Never in a thousand years had Lord Dominion accepted any being that had ever been created as his Praeceptor until the day he met Aleph von Erich and Gres Calibri. But that alone was not the only reason why their union is a special one.

The circumstances around Lord Dominion and his first Praeceptors have got to be the most unique among all the other gods simply because Lord Dominion has two Praeceptors. Other gods would keep the original bodies of their Praeceptor and only cater to a different one until the Praeceptor's soul wishes to resign from their post. In Lord Dominion's case, it's quite easy to understand why he threw Praeceptor Von Erich's body in favor of Praeceptor Calibri.

To understand Lord Dominion's logic, we must first look at the two Praeceptor's analysis results.

|Name: Aleph Von Erich (Original Body)

|Classification: (1) Entity, (2) Dead, (3) Meat, (4) Human

|Status:

|STR: 10

|VIT: 6

|DEX: 9

|INT: 213

|WIS: 103

|Name: Gres Calibri

|Classification: (1) Entity, (2) Alive [M], (3) Meat, (4) Human

|Status:

|STR: 33

|VIT: 103

|DEX: 33

|INT: 45

|WIS: 82

If a god accepted someone as their Praeceptor and took control of their soul, they would also be able to retain their Mental stats (Intelligence and Wisdom) under any circumstances, but if they changed bodies, they would lose their former Physical stats (Strength, Vitality, Dexterity) and attain their new body's stats instead. It is not a lie that Praeceptor Von Erich's former body is absolutely rubbish, so Lord Dominion's decision to store his soul inside of Praeceptor Calibri's clearly superior body is the right and practical choice.

Their combined stats are as follows:

|Name: Aleph Von Erich (in the body of Gres Calibri)

|Classification: (1) Entity, (2) Alive [M], (3) Meat, (4) Human

|Status:

|STR: 33

|VIT: 103

|DEX: 33

|INT: 213

|WIS: 103

This is beyond ideal as a starting stat for any god. Conquest and Cultivation would be much, much easier now that we already have a head start. The only thing we need to look out for now is for the Praeceptor to keep his current physical might or improve it in the future.

There can only be two souls inside of a physical body; thus, for a Praeceptor's soul to transfer to their new body, they'd need to remove the soul inside first. Luckily, Gres Calibri's soul had already left his shell during the combination ritual.

A Praeceptor gets to live forever if they desire under the care of their sovereign god, but most of the time, Praeceptors would willingly resign after a few thousand years, abandoning their post in favor of quieter days in the afterlife.

Giving where credit is due, the heathen gods had never refused a Praeceptor's plea for resignation.

Any questions?
