Manticore (Part 3)

[You killed the magical beast Choleric manticore, you gained experience]

The message quickly reached his ears. He had no time to collect the corpse when it happened, the monster twice as big as his companions came roaring out of the forest towards Nicola and the archer. "Help them to kill the other manticore while I hold this one for a while and you will come and help me later" He said to the archer.

The monster was almost 3 meters tall and even longer, Nicola was sure that this monster was above level 15 and would be enough for him to level, so he would have to use all his tricks against him to achieve this experience.

The hood had fallen off a long time ago and its four arms were on display from the start, one of its secret weapons had been revealed and the upper monster would certainly not fall for the same trick. He would have to play with everything he owned now.

A claw bigger than his head aimed at him with absurd speed, all he could do to react was to point his daggers at the claw in an attempt to do some damage back. The world went upside down when he was hurled towards the forests, the vision still blurred could see a colossal figure slowly approaching him.

The creature was astute and unafraid of the team that was fighting right behind them. His main focus was Nicola who killed one of his offspring and could pose a slight threat to himself.

The armor made with the skin of the granitic bear and reinforced with earth cores managed to resist the impact but had some cracks where the paw fell. The beast approached Nicola, still lying on the ground and placed a paw on his chest to keep him pinned to the ground, the human face looked at him with eyes of contempt and hatred. The uneven eyes twinkled in different ways as she applied pressure to Nicola's chest with her claw and the scorpionic tail rose behind her head like a threat.

The tail wagged and went towards Nicola's head almost like an arrow. Sweat dripped exactly from the center of Nico's forehead where the tail was locked less than three centimeters from his head, two white tails extending under the mantle and had wrapped around the tail, making it stop for a brief moment. The manticore's strength was much greater than Nicola's and she would have no problem getting rid of the tails, but surprise had taken her bicolor eyes for a brief moment.
