Walking around the city

Walking around the city again he saw the most different races walking around the city, a kind of three-meter-tall cyclops carrying a bag on their backs as they walked the streets, gray-skinned orcs wearing clothes made of animal skins and ornaments made of bones walked in a group while behind them were small green goblins carrying boxes for them, some types of bestials were also present, in addition to the most common being those with a pedigree of dogs and cats.

Nicola was also able to see centaurs, nagas, groups of cats and even some types of birds with huge wings on their backs, a bestial owl caught his eye by turning his neck 180 degrees and looking behind his back.

Some races were much more difficult to see, such as elves and dragons, so Nicola didn't see any wandering the streets. The city was huge and had almost a hundred million inhabitants, much larger than ordinary cities back on Earth.

But what surprised him was that he found more than a dozen half demons walking freely in the streets without anyone looking at them, the most diverse types of fur colors punctuated them, white, black, yellow, blue and red like him. Horns of the most diverse shapes crowned his head, usually only two or three and not seven as Nicola had in his head. Some had goat feet, others had scales on their skin, one even had extra arms like him. In addition, everyone had a tail that wiggled as they walked.

Two or three of what he found carried weapons and armor appearing to be mercenaries, the other part carrying objects or equipment on the streets looking like workers in a store.

For the first time in his life he did not feel that he would be despised when they discovered his true identity, the hood was pulled down showing his face to the public for the first time in a while. When he realized that absolutely no one took a second look or a scornful look at him, it was the first time that Nicola felt a little happy in this new world. He was not yet ready to show the rest of his body, so he kept him under the mantle while walking around town looking for a house to buy.

It was late afternoon when he finally found one that pleased him and went to speak to the person in charge of the sale. The building was slightly larger than the cave where she lived previously and had two floors and a basement, entirely built of stones and the ceramic roofs it had an almost medieval appearance.

Being away from the center it was cheaper than most, but it was still a little expensive in Nicola's eyes. Two hundred gold coins were spent to buy the house and regularize the necessary documents, in addition it was necessary to pay taxes to the city as a new citizen of the place.
