Afterbattle

After the battle, all the artifacts inside the magic tower had been thrown into the spatial artifact. Around the tower Nicola could find various items from his laboratory, beds and even the few undead that were saved.

Nicola was kneading his temples with the fingertips as she sat across from the four companions. "We have to choose a place to go from here, I don't intend to go back to the Melkor Empire, so we have to choose other places to explore." He said looking at the map, provided by Rhicina, which was open on the table. The continent had several countries and between some of the borders there was this forest of wild lands where they were. From this forest they could access several countries, after all there were trade routes that were used between the merchants of the countries.

Leaving through the forest of the Melkor Empire, the closest country was the Faerie Forest, but the routes could give access to other countries such as the Dwarf Union, the Avec Kingdom, the Lands of the Orcs, the Demon Empire and the desert where only nomadic tribes inhabited and fugitives from the surrounding countries.

"I think we should go to the Faerie Forest." Gin took the initiative to speak. "Tiane gave us letters of recommendation to her family there, and from what I've read about that country, they don't charge heavy trading fees, allowing new peaceful forces to be born more easily."

"Well said sister, peaceful forces. But I very much doubt they'll let us found our base there with undead workers ruled by half demons. What's more, they have a strict hold on the prohibition of hunting and gathering magical herbs. After all, fairies regard nature as their own people." Kin tried to be realistic but the words hit everyone like lightning, it was true what he said. His new force would not be well accepted in other countries for being a force of the undead.

"We definitely have to think about it." Tuatha nodded, his ethereal form not yet fully recovered but now he was much stronger than before.

"For now, the magic tower AI cores are in recovery, meaning we can't found a new force now, but we can think about where we're going to deploy it in the future." Nicola said. Sure, they could start without the AIs, but the job would be much bigger and more sloppy compared to what they could achieve. "Well, I'd like to see the mainland for now, so I'm willing to enter the fairyland to learn new things. And after that go to where the kitsune tribe resides." Nicola said and pointed to a mountain formation near the coast, on the edge of the Avec Kingdom with the forest.

"By then, the eggs will have hatched and before we even reach the Kitsune tribe we will pass the edge of the desert, where we can return Tyris to her tribe as well." He said looking at the snake woman, showing that he had never forgotten his promise. Tyris lowered her head in embarrassment and smiled to herself.

They spent the next few hours discussing the course they would take until they reached a conclusion. There were stories and legends that there were several ruins from ancient times buried in this forest, Nicola and the others decided to venture on the path to the fairy kingdom.

The days turned into weeks inside the forest, sometimes Nicola entered the forest alone, sometimes alongside his companions. The brothers had reached Level 18 after all this time, very close to reaching the level of the Silver Stars, even Tyris sometimes went out to join the training by acquiring some levels. But she was left behind by the two brothers, as she was still level 17.

Nicola had forged a special armor for her, which gave off a blue glow because of the way the flames were created. In addition he had implanted a prosthesis in her arm, there was still plenty of room for improvement, but it was still viable, the mechanical hand had five fingers and monster tendons created the necessary movement, controlled like a weapon linked to blood. In her other hand gleamed a spear in the same blue hue she used to deliver blows without getting too close.

Tuatha was the one who gained something interesting, Nicola did not know how to create an armor that would protect his ethereal body. So he created a small metal sphere, very resistant and full of holes, very similar to a tea bag.

This sphere would protect the Tuatha's core from physical attack while allowing the ethereal form to contact the core through the holes. Attached to that sphere, Nicola left four chains, each ending in a different type of weapon. One was a sword, another was a shield, the third was a morning star and the last was an axe.

This weapon would also bind to its owner making him able to control them with his mind. Needless to say, the wisp loved the new armor and weapons, wearing them indefinitely. It took a short time for him to get used to using the chains, but once he got the hang of it things became smoother. Nicola didn't want to see any more of his teammates get hurt like the last time.
