I don't notice the bars start to crunch into themselves like a strong, invisible force is squeezing them together jerkily. I don't notice the crackle of the speakers, alerting anyone in the hall that the guards are listening in. I don't notice the wild way my hands are moving through the air, I don't notice the hysterical pitch my voice has reached, I don't notice the crazy gleam in my eyes. I wouldn't though, I'm too caught up in my emotions."

Snowbird

Crynn coughs in surprise beside me, Gabriel chokes on his own spit while the other boys are just staring at me. Vega gasps while Signey pales and shrinks into her hoodie. Alpha gives me the mother of all glares.


"Snowbird?" Vega squeaks, I bounce my head up and down,


"Yup, that's her name," I pop the "p" and try to act casual.


"No. We are absolutely not breaking out a deadly little girl who is probably in here for a reason! Do you want us to die?" I glare back at Alpha,


"Of course not! I won't let her touch you! And she hates what she can do! We need to get her out of here because they're using her as their disposer. Do you know what they did when they tried to kill me? They sent me to her! Do you know what they did when they killed the only person here who was nice to me? They sent them to her!"


"You're not helping your case," Rip grumbled. I whip around,


"But it's the truth, please! She would never hurt anyone on purpose!" I look at their faces and sigh dejectedly.


"I'm going to get her out whether you guys help or not. I can't keep letting them make a ten-year-old girl kill people. So if you're not going to let me bring Snowbird, then you might as well walk out that door." I look around at their faces, I notice Signey does the same. She catches me watching her with narrowed eyes and tenses up, stepping closer to Vega. Rip crosses his arms on his chest,


"We'll help. It seems more fun breaking a killer out anyway." Gabriel elbows him in the ribs but I smile,


"Thanks Rip, you don't know how much that means to me." He grunts in response while Gabriel makes kissy faces at him. We all choose to ignore him.


"What group would kill people?" Vega whispers,


"Yeah I know she does but what group is she from? What's her hair color?" I can tell everyone is wondering about this.


"Snowbird. She's a group all her own like me. Her hair is white I don't know how or why but it's really pretty. When she touches you, she sucks your powers out and your own hair goes black and you die. Then she can use your powers for a little while. Her powers don't affect me though, so don't worry. I won't let her touch any of you." I tell them this while looking at them pointedly in the eye. I hope she grows on them.
