BEN'S POV
"What is causing all this commotion here?" Amidst the little crowd that surrounded us, a calm sultry voice stood out. My outburst had gained everyone's attention. The music had stopped. Even the DJ was interested in what was going on. I would have laughed at this scene if the issue at hand wasn't so serious. That asshole drugged Kelly!
"Baba, wetin dey do you? Abi na ment? " The asshole stood looking like he was ready to fight. He advanced towards me probably to punch me. I have never been a violent person but I would gladly beat him up if he kept being a jerk.
Before he could hit me, a huge buffy man pinned his arm to his back. He was dressed in a uniform. He might be part of the security of the bar . Holding the asshole still, he looked a person at his side as if asking for permission.
"What do we have here?" That same calm sultry voice got closer. Looking at who owned it , I was speechless. It was a beautiful woman.
"It looks like another guy was trouble." Another beautiful woman looking exactly like the first one appeared from behind.
"Anna, don't be so presumptuous again. You are hardly ever right." Another woman looking like the previous women said in a childlike tone.
All three of them looked alike in every way. The only thing telling them apart was their clothes. They were obviously triplets. And they looked like they were important because the security man looked at them as if asking for the next order.
"Should I repeat myself agai-" Looking at me with questions I her eyes, one of the triplets asked again.
"That asshole drugged Kelly!" I did not let her complete her question. Glaring at the asshole, I accused him.
"I didn't do anything to her! " Struggling from the security man's tight grip on him, he yelled. "She's my girlfriend. She's just—"
"Don't you fucking lie, You—" I interrupted him only to be interupted by one of the triplets.
"Security!" One of the triplets ordered. As if on cue, five huge men came running. I have never been so happy to see security men before. "Escort our guests outside."
"What? Who do you think you are?" I asked. I couldn't believe what was happening. Some should be calling the police not throwing us out!
I felt Kelly sluggish fingers trying to unbutton my shirt. I removed her fingers and kept my hold on her firm. "Kelly, we need to go."
"Yeah.... let's go to a place.... with a bed." She giggled. I stopped for a brief second. Kelly....giggled?
I have never heard those sounds coming from her lips before. Look, Kelly was almost a tomboy. If not for her love for simple dresses, she would probably look the part. And she definitely did not giggle like some prissy.
She definitely wasn't ok. I needed to get her out of there. As crazy as it sounds, a bed was really what she needed. To sleep, of course.
Maybe by morning she'd be back to her senses.
UNCLE SIMEON'S POV
Why do children of nowadays not easily pick their calls? I have been calling kelechi for the past one hour and she's not picking. She must have left her phone on silence. I have warned her about that habit of hers but she would not listen!
As I kept walking back and forth in the living room, I tried calling again hoping she would miraculously check her phone for time and see my call. Just like the last few times I tried calling, she didn't pick.
"Have you gotten her? " Mama walked in worriedly. She had also tried calling Kelechi too but no response. She had just finished praying for both her and Uche.
"No." I replied. I didn't like seeing mama so worried about this matter. Kelly could be somewhere out there with her friends. I had told mama of that possiblity but she brushed it aside and went all out to think of the worst.
"Hey!! And this is mber month o! Let them not meet bad people o! " With both her palms on her head, she exclaimed. Seconds later, she went back to her room to probably continue praying for their safety.
Suddenly, phone rang. I picked up the call without checking who called.
"Hey baby!"
