Hamon Animals

Raijin and Asami could be seen walking down a dirt clearing in the upper regions of Oregon. They passed multiple statues and animals on the way, none of which were important enough for either to acknowledge. They had been traveling extremely slowly for the past nine months and were only now crossing the border to Oregon state, Liam is closer to the bottom.

Raijin was walking farther away from Asami. He had been avoiding her for a long time and she couldn't figure out why. The truth was that he felt extremely uneasy. First he had to kiss his own sister in order to make her calm down and not kill herself, then he had to become her boyfriend so that she wouldn't kill herself, and he hadn't been able to do anything for the past nine months because she kept watching him all the time, he had no privacy. The only release he had was when he was training, because when ever he did that Asami would go off and hunt.

She was smothering him and constantly suspicious of him, because she apparently thinks he is going to try something with a statue. This paired with the disgust he felt with himself for kissing her resulted in him feeling like crap. And to add to it, he had recently been getting an eerie feeling. It was as if his plot armor was screaming at him to be prepared for something. So he wasn't able to train with the most efficiency for the last few months.

Today was especially bad though, this was because he could practically feel danger radiating at him from every direction. Considering his inhuman prowess in fighting and survival, he didn't understand why his instincts were telling him this.

"Raijin! Look at this!" Asami ran over to him, showing him a flower she just picked.

"Cool." He said faking a smile and talking to her as if she was a child.

Asami frowned at his reaction, "Why do you keep avoiding me and treating me like this, I'm not a child!" She then noticed a group of stone women statues next to each other, probably a group of friends that went out together before the petrification.

"Is it because you want to keep looking at other women?! Am I not enough for you?" She got angry all of the sudden for no reason and walked over to the statues.

Raijin panicked as this had happened before and a few others had died because he didn't give her attention. Although he didn't really care about other people dying if they weren't his family or friends, he was starting to believe that all these deaths were his fault, even though they weren't.

"Asami! Calm down okay! I wasn't looking at any of them, I was just thinking about something okay! There is no need to kill more people!" He tried to calm her down and ran over to her.

"Why are you defending them then? You shouldn't care about the life of some random bitch!" She snapped back. Raijin was confused as she didn't act like this before, she used to be cold and distant and even after she showed her yandere she wasn't this aggressive, but he couldn't figure out what was going on with her personality change.

"I don't care about them, but you don't need to go killing them for no reason. So please just calm down and step away from her okay." He said calmly, but she ignored him and went to punch the statue.

Raijin flickered with golden sparks and reappeared in front of her, grabbing her fist. "Asami! You need to stop right now, you are going to far! I have been putting up with it but I will not do so anymore! Now stop and calm down!" Raijin finally lost his temper and yelled at her, something he hadn't done in years.

She was surprised and looked at him as if he had betrayed her, like a sad puppy, or in this case a sad wolf covered in blood and surrounded by the corpses of their enemies. She didn't know what to think after being yelled at him like that and just decided to break down on the floor crying.

"*sniff* You... don't *sniff* Love me anymore?" She asked while crying, leaving Raijin dumbfounded.

'Why the hell are her emotions and reactions so intense all the sudden, is she sick?' He thought as he knelt down to comfort her.

"Of course I still love you," He said calmly, with guilt in his eyes. "You just cant keep going around killing people okay? Its not something someone can do without sacrificing their morals."

There is no way he would have put up with this if it was anyone else, however Asami was the only family he had left in this world. He didn't want to abandon her, his family is the only thing keeping him sane after his three thousand years of mental torture. He wasn't able to live through that like senku or the others that stayed awake, he was forced to stay awake by fate. The way fate balanced his transmigration to the world of Dr. Stone was by forcing him to stay awake during his petrification.

"But I don't care about morals, and if you keep looking at them they will steal you from me." Asami said with a little anger in her sad tone.

"No they wont, they are statues, I'm not that kinky." He replied as he hugged her and secretly considered weather he was that kinky or not, ultimately deciding he wasn't sure.

"Okay, I'm sorry. Ill stop." Asami said after a while and stood back up with a happier expression.

"How about I go set up the camp now? I will hunt to, you go train a little. I want you to kick Liam's ass when we find him." She said before skipping away to find a good campsite.

"If we ever find him." Raijin said under his breath as he was still dumbfounded at yet another personality change. She was like a rollercoaster lately, extremely angry and murderess one second, breaking down crying another, and happy the next. He just couldn't tell what was going on.

He decided to stop thinking about it and start his training. He needed to get stronger if he hoped to defeat Liam, and he still didn't know weather pillarmen and stands were a thing in this world or not so he needed to be prepared for those as well.

He wasn't like Goku and didn't crave a fight, he wasn't like a cultivator and didn't want to become the strongest, and he wasn't like Tanjiro in that he didn't really want revenge, well he did, but only against Liam. He just wanted to survive and live his new life with hamon, and he couldn't do that if he was killed by a pillarman or Liam.

He started his training by taking two leaves, holding them together, then using hamon to glue them to one another. Then he would throw it up and when they flew down together, just before they separated, he would harden the air with hamon and transfer it through the air and into the leaves, stopping them from coming apart. This was an extremely difficult exercise because he had to calculate when the leaves would be in range, transfer hamon through air, which barely conducts hamon, and then stop the leaf from both falling apart and falling to the ground.

Even if he hadn't been training seriously, just doing this exercise daily for nine months straight was enough to boost his hamon control tremendously. He could easily do any of his overdrives now without them hurting his body like before. He could even preform the White Sonic Overdrive nine times in a row before his body reached it limit.

He did this technique as many times as he could in a row before failing, four times a day. So in gym guy terms, do four sets to muscle failure. Today felt especially urgent, so he decided to do as many as he could until nightfall, and he was extra focused so he didn't fail as early as he normally would.

Meanwhile, Asami was out in the forest hunting. She had spent thirty minutes sitting up camp and was out looking for food. Raijin wanted to do this himself, but she started to feel useless if she didn't do anything for a while, so he let her do it so that she wouldn't freak out again.

'I wonder why he cared so much for those girls? Whatever, its fine, I will just go back later and break them when he isn't looking. For now I want to find a deer, they should be easy to cook and there will be more then a rabbit.' Asami thought as she knelt down, looking for deer tracks.

She looked for a while, but was unsuccessful and decided to just catch a rabbit and settle with less food. She found one easily, but it was faster then she expected and was able to run into a hole before she could catch it.

"Damn it! Why the hell are all the animals so fast all the sudden, its not like a few thousand years made them smarter, so why would they get faster and stronger?" She had noticed that the animals lately were a lot faster, stronger, and more agile then before.

What she didn't know was that every animal in the world was slowly gaining hamon enhancements, with bears, lions, wolves and other predators gaining a higher level of strength, and rabbits, deer and other prey gaining high speed. Although a lot more animals were capable of controlling their own hamon, they were still rare so she hadn't come across any yet. Mostly because Raijin had been killing them before she noticed.

She walked for a while before she noticed another rabbit, actually it looked like the same one from before. She immediately started to chase it. It noticed and ran as fast as it could, before just barely dodging her and running into a cave.

"Damn rabbit! You think you can get away from me? Well think again!" Asami followed it into the cave.
