Today Had Been A Mistake

Nathan managed to make it to the top of the second most difficult wall in less than ten minutes. Not his best time but not his worse either. Catching that guy earlier may have winded him more than he realized.

When he made it back down to Sierra she was clearly impressed. "I don't think I could ever do that. What are you, the Beetle?"

The Beetle was a comic book hero capable of climbing walls like an insect. He wasn't anywhere near that level. He had to stick to the hand and footholds like any other climber, even if it was more difficult to do at an angle like that.

Nathan smiled. "Don't exaggerate."

"Seriously though, that was really cool. You aren't as weird as I thought," Sierra told him.

His smile immediately dropped. "Gee, thanks."

"I didn't mean it like that! I just…didn't think you did things like this. I thought you were an all-work-no-play kind of guy. I'm making things worse for myself; I'm going to shut up now."
