That Doesn't Sound Like You

Nathan had been doing his best not to think about the consequences of turning off his powers. He was trying to take Adrian's advice to be more selfish and not worry about other people that had nothing to do with him. 

He had been managing okay until he stopped Sierra from hurting herself. How had he forgotten how clumsy and accident prone she was? He had always been able to prevent any injuries when they were together so it hadn't been much of a problem until now. 

The closer he got to her, the more he feared losing someone he loved again. She was a danger magnet and if he couldn't protect her…

She said she had gotten this far but that was only because of him! She probably would have died in that bus accident if he hadn't taken the hit for her. How was he supposed to protect the people he loved without his power?
