CHAPTER 42

Raven drove through the highway, fingers tapping on the steering in sync with the soft music playing through the speaker. The breakfast was awesome, tho he could hardly remember what he ate since he couldn't peel his eyes off her. He glanced at Anna, dreamily staring outside the window. Her eyes sparkled as she scanned each and every passing tree and shops like a kid.

Had he known that she would wear that stunning yellow summer dress to the breakfast, he would have probably arranged something at the mansion. The look on the waiter's face every time he came at the table was the most infuriating. But Anna, being Anna, was too innocent and oblivious of the prying eyes. All of her attention on the man sitting across her.

But how could that innocent girl pull that stunt on Christine last week, Raven thought. He held back a giggle recalling the site of Christine's face when she was smacked across the face by this little girl.

She isn't that little after all.

Raven shifted his gaze back to the road but his free hand somehow managed to sneak towards Anna, gliding up her thigh. He heard a sharp intake of breath and suppressed a smirk.

Oh my little girl.

Anna shifted in the seat, her eyes wandering down over the hand on her lap, than up at Raven. She flushed. A mischievous glint sparkled in his eyes, which meant he was intentionally teasing her.

"I would love to know what you're thinking right now," his voice was composed, but he had more than alarming things in mind that he could do to her with just one hand. But startling her or scaring her away is the last thing he wanted.

"Nothing in particular," With the low voice hardly reaching his ears, she turned around to resume her survey of the road, but Raven noticed how her breathing wasn't as stable as before.

Comm'on Baby, it's just a hand.

"So, how's it going with the cafe?" His hand teased the skin on her upper thigh with a gentle squeeze. It was soft. Just like the other part of her body. The memories of the plumpness of her breasts against his lips came unbidden to his mind and his mouth went dry.

Stop it, you pervert.

"It's fine. Keeping me quite occupied," She answered to his previous question and drew him back from the fantasy world.

With a quick nod he retrieved his hand from her thighs and heard her sigh. With a deep breath, he tried to clear his brain while pulling over in front of her house.

"What are you doing on Sunday?" Raven half turned in his seat to admire the beautiful girl. Her cheeks were flushed and bottom lips captured firmly between her teeth.

If she doesn't stop biting it, I will do something right now.

"I'm at the café as usual, then I gotta go help my friend with something," She said fiddling with her fingers in her lap. Friend?

"When will you get off work then?" He brushed a stray strand of hair off her face.

"Around 7:30," Her eyes finally met his as she peeked up at him through her lashes.

Something about the way she looked at him stirred his insides. A warm feeling rose anew within him. Her ways had definitely changed since the night she spent at the Mansion with him. She still had her innocent appearance but her eyes were more provocative and... what? Seductive?

Is it really her or just me?

He brought her hand up to his lips, kissing her knuckles, "Have dinner with me. This Sunday, at my place."

Anna blinked and drew her eyes down. The last time she had been there, things were pretty unexpectedly exciting. But she couldn't let it get over her senses.

Raven gently squeezed her hand in his, urging her to speak. And when she looked up, he saw it. The way her pupils dilated and his little friend down there twitched in response. Shit.

"I told you, I have to help my friend," she said.

That's not exactly what he expected her to say but what friend?

"What about after that?"

"It would be too late. Granu will be worried,"

"I can talk to her,"

"No!"

"Why not?"

"Because I am saying so,"

Raven opened his mouth to say something but closed it. Instead he undid hid seatbelt before leaning close to her. Reflexively, Anna tried to push herself back into the closed window.

No escaping, baby.

"If you're trying to get me impatient than I must say, you're going right," he could feel her uneven breathing on his fingers as he brushed his thumb across her bottom lip. It was wet because of her earlier nibbling.

I wonder what else is wet?

"Fine. You can come after I'm done helping him," Her eyes wandered down to his lips as his snapped up to her eyes.

Him? His jaws tightened.

"Help whom?" Who is this friend?

"Ethan," She whispered. Oh, the guy she walked in with the restaurant that day.

He looked quite stable on his own. Raven couldn't understand why and what he needed help with. He wanted to ask her but also didn't want to sound like an obsessive freak.

"What time?" Suppressing his growing irritation, he ran his fingers down her cheeks which were hot and flushed against his knuckles. She closed her eyes momentarily, leaning into his hands. Raven smiled. Oh Anna, what could I do to you?

He pushed himself further off his seat and pressed his lips firmly against hers. Anna gasped, eyes flying open as he suddenly claimed her mouth and gripped his forearms. His other hand travelled up her thigh. Higher and higher until she was panting against his mouth and he took his chance to taste her. His tongue coiled against hers.

She moaned and tugged at his shirt, desperately trying to grip onto him. Abruptly, he let go of her and settled back into his seat.

Anna panted as she looked at him like a lost sheep.

Oh baby, don't look at me like that.

"I'll come at nine," he simply said and fastened his seat belt once again.

"Why....why did you stop?" Wow, now that was the first time he heard little Anna speak up.

"Why do you always stop so suddenly?" Her annoyed tone was weirdly turning him on. He caught her gaze and held it, while she tried to not look affected.

"I stopped because I had to," She didn't look pleased with that answer. How do I explain this without sounding like a freak?

He leaned forward again.

"Trust me baby, as much as I want to push you to the back seat and fuck you senselessly, I can't. Not now,"

Anna gasped and quickly looked away. Okay, she understood.

But you did sound like a freak.

At least she did not run away.

"I... I'll get going," She was quick to climb out of the car before he could speak further and shut the door. Without another word, she left. Raven saw her running over the stairs, almost tripping before she disappeared into the house and shut the front door.

She actually ran away.

He held back a chuckle and drove away from her house.

Now he had to wait for the weekend. This weekend, I'll make her mine. He'd given her more than enough chances to rethink about this and she only looked more and more ready, for him.

It took all of his restraints the previous week, when he could smell her arousal but didn't take things further. She was so ready but he wasn't sure. Now when she has expressed her eagerness, he was more than pleased to give in. Lost in the images of her angry face and flushed cheeks, he pulled over at the Mansion.

Walking inside, he was greeted by an unexpected guest as she weakly smiled at him and took him in her embrace.

"Mother," he addressed her while she pecked both of his cheeks and saw her teary eyes. Oh no no, don't cry please.

"What's wrong Mother?" He lead her to the couch and sat down beside her.

"I just missed you, Baby." She instantly leaned onto his shoulder while silent tears rolled down her face. Another women he hated seeing crying.

"Tell me," he demanded.

"What?" The lady straightened up and tried her best not to cry again.

"Whatever happened, I wanna know,"

She looked at him unsure and finally let it all out as she broke down into tears.

Raven immediately brought her into his arms and stroked her back while she sobbed on his chest. His shirt was soaked but he couldn't care less. He had never seen her so vulnerable and weak. In fact, she was the strongest women he knew but seeing her like that only fuelled his rage. Who the fuck hurt her?

"Tell me Mom, Please," I cannot see you just hurting. He squeezed her into his arms, helplessly trying to stop her tears. She just sobbed harder and covered her face with her palms.

"Please, Mom," Raven closed his eyes, trying not to loose it in front of his mother.

"Ric..." she started, and sobbed again.

"What about Dad?" Raven pulled back to look at her red face and bloodshot, puffy eyes.

"Richard is having an affair,"
