------------------------------

It was such a clever plan that his little mind thought of, but it also delayed his army a lot, and he had to put the fire down himself if he wanted to move. After finally exiting the forest, he attacked the Bronze Gate, but after all the work Edward did to reinforce the castle, Jon did not have a way to take The Castle even if he waited forever. He tried to maneuver and turn around The Castle to launch his attack on Storm's End. But the Shadow Legion Company stationed in the front and the rest that defended the bronze gate made a pincer attack which cost Jon another two thousand deaths since the attack was in the middle of the night.

Jon decided to take down the bronze gate first before attacking Storm's End, but he was afraid that Edward might return, and he was in that dilemma since then. After reading the report given to him by the shadow legion and the scouts, Edward had the right to smirk as Jon was already trapped there. Edward did not see a way for Jon to return from this situation unless he forsook his army and retreated to King's Landing.

After knowing the whole situation, Edward sent a secret raven to the leader of Shadow Legion Company's group stationed in the castle to order him to open the gate and start the attack. He did not see any reason for waiting anymore since he had the element of surprise, and with a pincer attack, the rest of Jon's army would crumble.

After sending the letter, Edward rode his horse and said some words in order to motivate the men before the battle. They slowly began to ascend the hill to the castle location. Before long, the army of five thousand men started to accelerate. By using their charge's momentum, they soon could see Jon's army.

The enemy was surprised by the attack, and before they could prepare to receive the enemy from the back, the castle's gates opened, and the men started to attack as well. It did not take long before Jon could notice that he was in a disadvantage's situation, and he had to retreat in order to regroup his scattered men. So he issued an order for the army to retreat and led a part of the men in Kingswood's direction.

Edward used this chance of disorder in Jon's army and decided to kill as many as he could before they could retreat. In this battle, Edward's men managed to kill another two thousand men and captured another thousand. Only Jon, with three thousand men, was able to retreat. Edward doubted that the idiot would try again without recruiting more men. Edward did not have a chance to use the prisoners in this battle. As they would still need some time to reach their location, and Edward saw that he could not waste his chance to take the enemy by surprise. Edward even did not get to see or face Jon face to face. The cower ordered the retreat the moment he saw the situation was not in his favor.

Edward wanted his men to rest, and a fight in Kingswood would lead to many casualties from both sides, so he could only send the remaining Shadow Legion Company after they took some rest. They did not have many casualties during this battle since Jon ordered the retreat before any real fight took place. The three thousand Shadow Legion Company had four hundred died in the last confrontations and many injuries. Edward would have to compensate them a lot for their sacrifices. This battle would get recorded as "The battle of the gate.".

Three days later, after he received the report, he could only sigh. The cunt Jon had finally retreated to King's Landing after getting ambushed again and again in Kingswood. It seemed that King, Aerys, was furious because of Jon's incompetence and was about to exile him when the Madking, Aerys, received news from the other side of the map. Robert finally announced his claim to the Iron throne after meeting Ned and The North's army in the Riverland.

The Madking could not take such humiliation and ordered Jon to fix this and gave him the last chance to redeem himself by giving him Robert's head. Jon, who was afraid for his life, gathered another army and headed north. Edward did not know what he was thinking by doing this. Was not he afraid that Edward might march north and take King's Landing that he was leaving defenseless? What an idiot?

Edward decided to play another trick on them and ordered one thousand horseriders to siege King's Landing after Jon left with the army. He just wanted to see the King's reaction. Edward ordered them to return once they saw any army or retaliation around the area.

After arranging the situation, Edward made his way back to Storm's End. It was the time to check on his newborn son. Plus, he had to clarify what he did to Ashara so she could only resent the Lannister after the war and not him. He would tell her about the agreement he made with Robert and the rest shifting the blame to the Lannister.

Edward also wanted to discuss something with Bruce, who had informed him that he had completed his job with flying colors. The man took full control of the royal fleet and rendered them useless for any future naval fight. Edward wanted him to attack Dorne from the see of Dorne. If Dorne still sent men the same as the original, Edward wanted Bruce to use his marines and part of the army to take two towns from Dorne. He set his eyes to take Wyl to control the Boneway.

When Edward reached Storm's End, he could finally see that his mother, Cassana, had left her room. She still looked depressed, but she knew that Edward and her other sons took revenge against the Targaryens for their brother. Cassana could only support them at the moment since Cassand resented the Targaryen more than anyone at the moment. She found it hard to continue living after her husband and son's deaths, but she had to take care of her newborn grandson.

"It is great to see you, mother. I hope you are fine now?" Said Edward with batting an eye. He was the reason for most of this woman's misery, but he did not care. Better alive than dead, right? He could have left her to die with Steffon, could she?

Cassana could only smile after seeing Edward and could only cry after hugging him. She was afraid that she would lose another son. But Edward was exceptional and was able to turn the situation times and times again. She thought that the cruel things Edward did back then to the other houses who betrayed him were because he grieved his brother and wanted to avenge him, and that was the only way to vent down his frustration. Oh, pure Cassana.

"Calm down, mother. It is all good now. I still wanted to take care of Raymont and little Axil." Said Edward as he smiled at his mother. He was distracting her with his sons. Yeah, he had decided to name his second son Axil Baratheon.
