Myriad Treasures Pavilion

As Zaka was enjoying the view of his first city, a large carriage came from behind, "Hey! Move away!"

The carriage was pulled by level one demonic beasts, which was equivalent to body refining human.

Zaka hurriedly moved to the roadside. He didn't want to make any trouble for himself. He went to one of the street vendors who sold a fresh meat bun. Numerous street vendors were lining up on the roadside.

While eating he said to Zaki mentally, 'although my grilled meat is still better, this bun has its charm, right? The meat is properly seasoned, and it is fresh. What do you think?'

Nom nom, Zaki was eating with relish, 'This meat bun is delicious, boss's grilled meat is also delicious! Boss, can I eat more?'

'Don't spend fill all of your stomachs with this, there is still a lot of food we haven't taste yet.'

'Right right! Whew, I almost got bewitched by this meat bun. Boss, let's go to other vendors.' After Zaki finished his bun with large bites, he excitedly pulled Zaka's hand to the next vendor.

'Zaki, act like an adult!' Zaka stopped his track and said sternly at Zaki.

Zaki froze. He had been acting like a child since he came to this world. His form was a child after all.

'Sorry boss, it is not easy to change this habit.' Zaki was rubbing the back of his head while grinning awkwardly.

'Pay more attention in the future. I think we should find an inn first before anything else.'

The Burning Flame City had a diameter of twenty thousand kilometers and it was divided into five parts.

Northwest was a residential area for people with lower status or newcomers who were looking for accommodations. There were a lot of inns, hotels, and even houses that were sold in this area.

Southwest was a mercenary district. There was the headquarters of large and medium mercenary groups located in this area. The headquarters of the Daemon Guard was located in this area.

Northeast was a residential area for people with high status or a very powerful expert. This place also sold a house or mansion sometime, but only a person with a certain status was allowed to purchase the items.

Southeast was an entertainment area. There were restaurants, brothels, auction houses, and even the Myriad Treasure Pavilion was here. Myriad Treasure Pavilion was the largest auction house in the Marcus Empire. The pavilion also had some branches outside the empire.

And, lastly, the center part was the castle and living quarters of the Cooper family, a family appointed by his Majesty Marcus Emperor to govern Burning Flame City.

In other words, the ruler of the Burning Flame City.

Cooper family had existed since the founding of the Marcus Empire. Its root ran deep in Burning Flame City, no one dares to confront this family except for the Daemon Guard.

Each part of the city was separated by a forty meters tall wall and there was a gate which everyone had to pass to enter the other part of the city.

Zaka knew about the city after reading the memory of Doran and Dale, the underlings of Edgar's disciple.

The money to pay the entry to the city and to buy the meat bun also came from their storage rings. The money from Edgar and his disciples were too large to be used in small transactions.

He also moved all the content inside other storage rings into Edgar's storage rings because it was the largest. After that, he hid all the storage rings inside a tattered sack along with a small amount of money to fool the onlookers.

Soon, he chose a medium quality inn to settle down and went to the entertainment district.

He and Zaki entered an exquisite restaurant to eat. He chose a table near a large window that faced the street on the second floor.

"Two of your best seller food and a bottle of fruit wine please," Zaka said to the waiter.

"Our hard time is over, the good times arrived." Zaka sighed and watched the street.

"That's right! Boss, we had been trapped inside that damned place for twelve years." Zaki huffed while also staring at the street below.

All sorts of people walked on the road. There were cultivators, ordinary mortals, and also beast-men. Many of those beast men were chained and wearing a collar.

Humans were the ruler of this world, they killed and enslaved other races because they felt superior to those races. The only race that could content against humans was the beast race. They had been fighting against humans since the ancient era.

A lot of other races also joined the beast race to oppose the human race.

But, this was not his problem. He would cultivate peacefully and live a long life. Zaka nodded slightly, after confirming his goal once again, he felt refreshed.

'What a delicious food.' He and Zaki were eating their food happily.

After eating, both of them went to the Myriad Treasures Pavilion. The place was in the form of an enormous golden pyramid with a height of ninety meters tall and an area of forty thousand square meters.

The wide front door was wide open with beautiful and handsome attendants busily greeting the visitors. Before coming here, he and Zaki had changed their robes into more expensive robes and wore their storage rings.

One of the attendants' eyes lit up after watching Zaka's group.

"Welcome dear customer, is there something I can help you with?" The attendant said while clapping his hand and lowered his head respectfully with a smile.

"Where is the place to sell items?" Zaka asked.

"Dear customer, please follow me." The attendant turned and walked deeper into the pyramid.

Zaka followed behind the attendant who brought him to a private room on the second floor. There were other rooms similar to that of Zaka's.

Inside the room, a white-haired old man was sitting behind a table and in front of the table, there were two chairs. Zaka and Zaki sat on the chair and stared at the white-haired old man curiously.

"Welcome gentlemen, I'm one of the appraisers of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion, Zack. You can trade your items with me. I will surely give a satisfying price for them." The old man said with a professional smile.

"Nice to meet you, Zack. My name is Zaka. I'm afraid that this room isn't large enough to hold the items I want to trade." Zaka said hesitantly.

A mild surprise appeared on the old man's face. He laughed and waved his hand. All of a sudden, the room enlarged and its area doubled. "Hahaha! Mr Zaka, it is quite a coincidence that our name is pretty similar. Is this wide enough?"

Zaka and Zaki were shocked by the phenomenon. 'Even this is possible?'

Seeing the surprised look on his customers' faces, the old man Zack explained patiently, "This entire pyramid was a spirit-grade magic-artifact. The walls, floors, and even the rooms were part of the artifact.

It could change the size or arrangement of the room. When I enlarged this room the other rooms were shifted to accommodate the change.

This artifact was the trademark of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion, each pavilion in every city also has this pyramid."

'What! In every city, there was this kind of pyramid? How many cities were there inside the Marcus Empire? Doesn't that means the Myriad Treasures Pavilion had numerous spirit-grade magic-artifacts?' Zaka sighed while marveling at the wealth of the Myriad Treasures Pavilion.

"Can you remove the table?"

"Of course." The table in the middle of the room disappeared.

Zaka waved his hand and many strange ingredients forming a small hill appeared. These ingredients came from the storage rings of Edgar and his disciples. He kept the earth-grade magic-artifact from Edgar and mortal-grade magic-artifacts from his disciples.

He also didn't sell the materials for formation arrays. These ingredients, however, were useless for him since they were used for an evil cultivation technique. For example, raising a wraith king or a ghost infant king.

Zack carefully scrutinized every item for an hour before he decided on a price, "800 kg of liquefied nature-essence, how's that."

Zaka pretended to ponder for a bit before saying, "Deal!"

Zack took the ingredients and passed on a jade bottle to Zaka who then checked the content of the bottle and indeed there were eight hundred kilograms of liquefied nature-essence.

"Is there anything else?" The old man Zack asked after seeing that Zaka hadn't left the room yet.

"Um, where is the place where I can buy artifacts?"

"It's on the third floor and above. Artifacts and all kinds of curious treasures are sold there. The attendant will guide you there. Have a pleasant shopping!" The old man laughed.

Zaka opened the door and saw that the attendant hadn't left yet.

"I've been informed by Mr Zack that you intend to purchase some treasures from our Myriad Treasures Pavilion, please follow me." The attendant smiled and then turned to guide Zaka to the third floor.

While walking the attendant asked. "May I know which grade of magic artifact do you want to buy Mr Zaka?" The attendant had heard the name of Zaka from the old man Zack.

"Spirit-grade magic-artifact preferably. Heaven-grade magic-artifact is fine too. Why do you ask?" He didn't know the general price for each artifact grade so he wanted to see.

"Spirit-grade magic-artifact!?" The attendant was shocked and then his face turned weird.

"Is there a problem?" Zaka asked after seeing the attendant face.

"On the third floor, we sold earth-grade magic-artifact and other treasures in similar value, while on the fourth floor we sold heaven-grade magic artifacts and other items with similar value.

Spirit-grade magic-artifact, on the other hand, we have them, but we only put them on display. We do sometimes sold spirit-grade magic-artifact if there is a person who sold them through us.

Most of them, however, were sold in the auction that we held every three months." The attendant patiently explained.

"May I know the average price of a spirit-grade magic-artifact?" Zaka curiously asked. Spirit-grade magic-artifact should be quite valuable, seeing the Myriad Treasures Pavilion only put them on display without selling them.

"Usually, the price of spirit-grade magic-artifacts is more than a million kg liquefied nature-essence. Only the lowest grade among the low-grade of spirit-artifact will have the selling price of one million kg liquefied nature-essence.

Even then, it is better than a top-grade heaven-artifact." Although the attendant was feeling quite weird since Zaka didn't know this basic information, he put that thought in the back of his mind and decided to explain nonetheless.

Zaka's face remained calm although inwardly he was very much shocked. 'One million kg liquefied nature-essence only for the lowest quality of spirit artifact!?'

After thinking about it for a while, he could understand the reason. The biggest difference between heaven artifacts and spirit artifacts was the fact that spirit artifacts have 'spirit' within them.

The first time a spirit artifact was formed, besides the quality of its materials, was the same as a heaven artifact.

Only thousands of years period of nurturing from an expert at the level of nascent core or above would then the artifact produced a spirit. The spirit would grow stronger the longer it lived resulting in the weapon also getting stronger.

Heaven artifacts, in fact, also have a slight possibility of forming a spirit too.

Spirit artifacts could easily form a spirit as long as an expert willing to nurture the weapon with their qi because the artifact was made with a special material that assists in the forming of a spirit.

This type of material was very rare and extremely expensive.

"Take me to the fourth floor then." Zaka didn't think that the price of a spirit artifact was that expensive. His total wealth from those plundering *cough* saving people was only two thousand liquefied nature-essence.

Even if he sold the formation array ingredients he would only get another thousand which was far from enough to but a spirit artifact.

The very instant he saw the fourth floor, he was stunned!
