chapter 5 to the death

hours passed as Damien and Aria continued to fight wave after wave of bandits before Aria asked him"why the hell are there so many ?!!"

"Your dad knew this would happen didn't he that's why he told me those things yesterday why didn't he get you out of here ?!" he questioned her

"Damien we need to get to my house I think I know what's happening!" within 20 minutes the 2 had fought their way through more than half the village Aria's bow was almost broken and she was almost out of mana .Damien on the other still had magic to spare but his normal swords weren't looking all that great when they got to Aria's house she grabbed some minor mana potions well some may be putting it lightly she grabbed a whole crate of them and threw them in a spacial bag with just enough room for it to fit ,Damien did the same except he found the biggest bag he could and took as many weapons and supplies as he could before anything else he also found his chain but it looked worse than he remembered it did nothing he could do now tho but as he picked it up it became almost wieghtless and it seemed to regain its durability as he held it but was not the time to think about it he put the chain on its usual spot and carried on ,"so why are we here ?"he asked

"no clue but when I woke up I thought I heard my dad arguing with someone but when I came down no one else was here only after I got dressed I realised that the my father had been taken ,I was hoping there might get be some clues here as to why..." she replied

Damien walked over the the edge of the window and gripped his chain tightly,"Well it doesn't look like we'll find anything..." and as he said that a row skid past him brushing against his cheek from outside, a small amount of blood ran down his cheek as he shot back trying to move out of line of sight,"... WE'VE GOT COMPANY!"

He stood pressed against the door trying to see if he could hear anything and as he put his ear against the door an huge fire bull shot through the door which he narrowly dodged by dropping the floor and rolling under the window,a full volley of arrows came blasting through the door and windows .

Aria took shelter behind the counter which took the full brunt of the fireball which broke the doorway.

Damien and Aria were pinned they, couldn't move without being shot by an arrow .

Aria made her way to the back room only to realize they had already surrounds the house in a fit of fear she grabbed a mana potions from her spacial bag and used the strongest magic currently available to her

"DAMIEN! HOLD ON TO SOMETHING ! Earth magic :tremor "as she finished the chant the ground began to shake but the volley of arrows didn't seem to stop very much obviously there were less but there was still a fair amount of arrows being shot at them but now they could at least move freely "Thanks Ari I'll take it from here !" the ground continued to shake so Damien used wind walk to get better footing obviously constant use would drain him but he wasn't much bothered as long as he could get the job done,he ran out using his chain and the soul sword he cut through enemy after enemy avoiding all melee units and using close combat with all the mages and archers to deal with the immediate threat..
