chapter 9 the envelope

Damien and Aria looked over the envelope it didn't seem like anything special but it was addressed to Damien so the two decided to just go to bed for the moment it would help process the previous few days happenings ,when Damien woke up his system was already active as he opened his eyes the system spoke "gift received open now or ignore " ,not giving much thought to it said ,"open" and as he did the system confirmed and opened and gift the contents of which were strange it was an eyeball Damien confused at what to do with an eyeball ignored it and carried on getting dressed. He woke aria up and the 2 went downstairs to open the letter ,they sat down at the table and opened it and it read:

"dear Damien

I was once a knight in service of the holy kingdom we live in...after working for a few years I resigned from my post ,met my wife and began our travels then we met a man and a women on our travels ...theses were your parents we spent many years getting to know each other and then you were born we traveled for another few months before they found your parents they insisted that we leave them and protect you from 'them' , eventually we made new identities for ourselves we left you in the care of that old lady because she was our friend for a long time she knew me even before I became a knight and she agreed to raise you...." it continued in great and boring detail of thier lives until...

"I've gotten word that your parents are still alive I have some clues on where they are now and I might set out to find them in a few weeks but they are alive...I'm not sure how things will go but now I'm worried that they might find you which is why I'm writing this letter to tell you at least a little of what happened.

and... if you're reading this then it means they found me ,and now that you've read it leave and take my daughter with you,there's a nearby town you should probably know of it the fort city of irondell find martin he'll take care of you 2 and know what to do about my predicement."
