Epilogue: New beginnings

These past ten months have been a blast. The twins are fourteen months and little Jenna just turned one a few days ago. Mea was the first to start walking at nine months and Jax was close behind her a couple of weeks later, while Jenna started walking at ten months. These three are walking, talking tornados, wreaking havoc everywhere they go. We've been teaching the babies sign language to help them communicate with not only words.

Justice and Seth decided to get married after they graduated and it was just a little ceremony with his parents, her grandparents, and the rest of us. Justice still hasn't talked to her parents since they kicked her out and she's sad that they didn't respond to her wedding invitation. We still made sure to make her day special regardless.

Ariel and Beth decided to have a double wedding with just us as well. They got married a few months after Danny and I came back from our honeymoon. They all moved out a few months ago and found houses within walking distance of ours, so they're not too far away. Justice and Seth had moved in with Jenna for about a month while they looked for a place because her grandparents' house was getting crowded and they wanted to be independent.

Jaxon is a mama's boy and Meanna is a daddy's girl but being honest, they are both a mama's girl and a mama's boy. They love their daddy, but I am the one that gave them life, so I win.

We are all in college but are of course living in homes instead of on campus. Ariel wants to do some type of special operations work so she's going to school for that. Brian, Danny, and Jer are taking business management classes as well as law classes because they want to open a law firm together. Beth is going to a nursing school and I have started taking premed classes, we're hoping to one day work at the same hospital.

Right now we're all at Ariel and Brian's house in the bathroom waiting for the results of her pregnancy tests. She thinks she got pregnant on their honeymoon so she decided to take a few tests.

"I think I'm going to throw up," she says anxiously.

"Uh oh, that's a sign of pregnancy," I joke, trying to lighten the mood, but she does not look amused in the slightest.

"Not funny," she says with a glare.

"I thought you wanted kids," Beth says, sitting on the counter and swinging her legs back and forth.

"I do, but I don't know if I'm ready yet," she replies. The timer on Justice's phone goes off and we all take deep breaths before Ariel turns the tests over and looks at the results.

"It's positive! Oh my, I'm going to be a mom," she says in shock. We stare at her to gauge her reaction and then she randomly squeals, making us jump.

"I'm gonna be a mom! I have to tell Bri, but I want to tell him in a special way," she says, starting to sound more and more excited.

"We can help with that," Justice tells her, the rest of us nod in agreement.

We went out and got a small gift box to put the tests in and we got some black Jordans for a newborn and added them as well. She is going to give him the box and Beth, Justice, and I are going to hold up a sign that says 'Congrats Dad'. Ariel goes into the living room to tell Brian that she has a present for him and that he needs to close his eyes while we get ready to present the sign.

She puts the gift box in his hands and tells him to open his eyes.

"It's not my birthday, so what is this for," he asks curiously.

"Just open it," she tells him, bouncing on the balls of her feet. As he opens it, we come to stand in front of him, ready to hold up the sign. We hold up the sign while he stares at the box blankly. Something finally clicks and he looks up in shock. He looks at the sign and then at Ariel, still not saying anything, which starts to make her fidget nervously.

"Say something you baboon," Beth yells at him. "My arms are starting to get tired!"

This finally gets his attention and he chokes out, "Y-you're preg-g-nant?"

She gives him a nod and he jumps up, wrapping his arms around her, and spinning her around. She giggles and he says, "I'm gonna be a dad, beaches!"

"Congrats guys," Jerrico says, clapping.

"I can tell things are going to get a whole lot crazier around here," Seth says, coming over and wrapping his arms around Justice and kissing her on the cheek.

*Four Years Later*

"Mama," I hear Mea yell before she runs into the room crying.

"What's wrong baby," I ask her, sitting up from the couch with great difficulty. I'm pregnant with our third baby and I'm thirty-eight weeks pregnant, so I'm ready to pop.

"Jaxy's friend pushed me off the swing when we were waiting for the bus," she says running over to me and burying her face in my chest.

"Oh sweetie, are you okay," I ask her, pulling her away and planting kisses all over her face. Danny walks in and sees his princess crying and immediately comes over to investigate. He lifts her, sits on the couch, and then sits her in his lap.

"Did I hear you say someone was mean to my baby girl today," he asks with a frown.

"Yes, but I'm okay," she tells him. "I kicked him in the leg."

"That's my girl," Danny says at the same time that I say, "Meanna Na'Shay!"

I glare at him before continuing, "Now I know I raised you better than that young lady."

"But daddy said that if any boys ever mess with me to punch them in the throat, but I decided to just kick him because he was too far away," she tells me.

I give my husband a glare and yell, "Daniel, really!"

Jaxon walks in and comes over to us saying, "I'm sorry Jake did that sissy, I told him that if he did that again, we can't be best friends anymore."

She gives him and smile and a big hug and then they run away laughing about something.

"Those are you kids," I tell Danny, putting my feet in his lap.

He laughs and rubs my feet, knowing that that's what I wanted.

"I love you," he says, then leans down to my belly, "And I love you, little man."

"I love you too," I tell him. "You ready for the next journey of our lives?"

"With you? I'm ready for anything," he says, leaning over and kissing me.
