Chapter 8: Quadruple Date

*Jaxon*

"Do you ever think of the future, our future," Jenna asks me as we lay in bed together.

Everyone is out and we decided to stay in and spend time together. We haven't been able to hang out as much and it has really been affecting us.

"All the time," I tell her, kissing the top of her head.

We've been in bed most of the day only going out to get breakfast. We had some food delivered for lunch and we're going to go out with everyone later to get dinner.

We're in bed watching The Little Mermaid when Jake and Mea come back.

"Are you guys decent," Mea asks.

"Define decent," I tell her with a smirk.

She scrunches up her nose at my comment while Jake laughs.

Jenna rolls her eyes and sits up, saying, "We're mostly decent."

She gets up in only my shirt, which thankfully goes to just above her knees, and some long socks that go to just below her knees. I follow her lead and get up as well, which makes my sister shriek and cover her eyes.

"Put some pants on you moron," she yells, her eyes still covered.

This makes me laugh and say, "Oh get over it you baby. You should be happy your twin brother is so hot."

"Gag me with a spoon," she says, rolling her eyes.

I roll my eyes back at her and go to my closet to put some pants and a shirt on.

When I come out Jenna has some pants on with my shirt tied around her waist. It's starting to get cold so we put on coats.

"Where are we meeting everyone else," Jenna asks them.

"We're meeting at Dylan's room," Mea tells her.

We head that way and they're waiting outside the room for us, I presume.

"Finally! We thought y'all would never be ready," Shayla says, throwing her arms up in the air. She is always so dramatic.

"Yeah, yeah," I say, rolling my eyes. We seem to all roll our eyes at each other a lot.

We head out to our cars and see that it is starting to snow.

"I hate driving in the snow," I groan out loud.

"I can drive," Mea offers.

"Great! You can take Jake, Shayla, and Brad," I tell her, volunteering them.

"Hey! What if we wanted to ride with you guys," Shayla says with a pout.

"Too bad," I say, being the mature adult I am and sticking my tongue out at her. She rolls her eyes and gets into the car with Brad.

I head over to Jenna's car and get in with her, Kennady, and Dylan. Elijah and Rodney are staying in with some kids from their algebra class, so we're going out alone.

"To Olive Garden," I yell out, pointing out the window in a random direction. Jenna jumps and smacks me on the arm for scaring her.

"Sorry baby," I tell her, leaning over and kissing her on the cheek.

*Meanna*

"You're so dumb," I say, throwing a piece of bread at Jaxon.

"How? All I did was ask why you wanted to go to some dumb dance," he says, shrugging his shoulders.

"It's not just some dumb dance! It's our senior prom," I seeth.

I'm trying my hardest not to yell at him and his insensitivity.

Jenna gets up and runs toward the bathroom. The girls run after her while I have one more little chat with my twin brother.

"This is really important for us girls. It's one of the last milestones of being highschoolers. You should really try and be more sensitive and think before you speak," I shake my head at him and head to the bathroom with the rest of the girls.

Jenna is crying softly when I arrive and I go over and pull her to me for a hug.

"Don't cry over my dumb brother," I tell her, giving her a gentle squeeze.

"I'm just so mad that he doesn't understand this type of stuff. Why are boys so clueless," she says with a hint of anger in her tone.

"Boys are just naturally clueless," Kennady says with an eye-roll.

"I guess I forgot about that," Jen says with a little laugh.

"I'm sure he understands how much this means to you now," Shayla reassures her.

"Ugh! I'm in love with an idiot," Jen says, throwing her arms up in the air in frustration.

"Oh honey, it's your own fault for choosing to be with said idiot," I tell her with fake sympathy.

She wets a paper towel and throws it at me.

"Screw you," she says with a laugh.

"You know you love us," Shay says in a teasing tone.

"Yeah I do," she says with fake disappointment.

Kennady shoves her and she almost falls over, yelling out, "Hey!"

We laugh and walk back to the table and Jaxon looks at us with an anxious look on his face when we return.

"Am I in trouble," he asks Jen, but she just ignores him. He starts to grovel while we all get into our own conversations.

"Everything alright," Jake asks me.

"Yeah, everything is fine," I tell him with a smile, leaning over and kissing him.

"We should go to the movies," Brad says as we're heading out the Olive Garden doors to head back to our cars.

"Good idea! What should we watch," Jenna asks.

"I don't know, I just came up with the idea," he says with a shrug.

I smack my forehead and Shayla rolls her eyes at him.

"We should go watch Come Play, "Kennady suggests.

"Isn't that a horror movie," Dylan asks nervously.

"Oh yeah, forgot you don't like scary movies," Brad teases him.

Dylan shoves him and he slips on a patch of ice, falling straight on his butt.

"What the hell, Dyl," he yells out.

We all laugh at him while Dylan helps him back up.

"Sorry man, I didn't see the ice," Dylan says sheepishly.

"Whatever, let's just go see a movie," Brad huffs out.
