"Where's yours?" Holden asked as they traversed the long and empty hallway. Looking ahead, he saw employees trickled in to mark the end of a thirty-minute lunch break.

"Yeah. Uhh…" Stellar trailed off, her eyes trained on the floor as she gathered her bearings, flustered at the unexpected appearance of Holden in one of her comfort zones, which ironically was her workplace. "Do you want to see my office? It's the room down the hallway."

Holden responded with a small smile, but the twinkle in his eyes gave away how delighted he was that she asked him.

Biting her bottom lip, she pivoted on her heel and walked along. If her feet had wings, she might as well fly her way to her office as quickly as possible.

Just as she crossed the threshold to her office, Stellar's heart bloomed in her chest like an English rose in springtime when Holden hooked his pinky with hers. Swirling in her spot, she heard the door's lock disengaging.
