Tiffany had no idea that Maya was staying in Vegas and she was at Lucas' place. All she knew was, Maya and Delilah's hotel room was now unoccupied and Delilah still had to stay in the hospital for a little while, so she decided to pack the room and help her check out.
Assuming that no one was inside the hotel room, she pulled out the spare key that Delilah had previously given her and opened the door. But when she stepped inside...
...a man in just his underwear stepped out of the bathroom!
Tiffany screamed in shock, but the man screamed even louder than she did.
"Who are you?" she yelled from the doorway, too afraid to step foot inside.
The man quickly covered himself with a towel. "I should be asking you that!"
Tiffany paused and double-checked the number on the door. Had she walked into the wrong hotel room? But...the key worked...
This didn't make sense.
"Isn't this Delilah's room. What are you doing here?" she asked.
The man glanced around awkwardly. "Delilah? Are you Delilah Yeung's friend?" he guessed.
Tiffany nodded her head. This man knew who Delilah was, so she was definitely at the right room.
"I'm her best friend," Tiffany replied.
The man narrowed his eyes. [This must be the supposed best friend that bailed Maya Yeung out of the police station on New Year's Day.]
"I'm Ryan Yoo, Lucas Lee's assistant," Ryan explained.
Delilah didn't get the chance to explain everything that was happening yet, so TIffany did not understand what was happening at all. All she could do was ask, "Where's Delilah?"
Ryan twirled his finger. "Turn around and let me get changed first. I'll explain everything to you after..."
Tiffany turned around, closed the door, and stood there obediently like a child that had been sent to the naughty corner.
After a while, the man finally said, "OK, I'm done."
He then sat down and explained that 'Delilah' was in danger and she had to stay in Vegas until Nova and Noah's names were cleared.
"By the way, you came at the right time. 'Delilah' appears to have a lot of luggage," he said as he pointed to the two suitcases against the wall that looked completely different. Obviously, one belonged to Delilah and one belonged to Maya, but Tiffany did not know that the man already knew this. "I thought I'd just grab a few sets to last her for the next few days instead of carrying all this over to her. Can you help me pick them out?"
Tiffany quickly nodded her head and reached for Delilah's suitcase. Maya was still acting like Delilah, so she naturally had to dress like her. She quickly picked out a couple of dresses, a pair of tight jeans, a couple of crop tops, and a set of pajamas. She then reached into Maya's suitcase to pull out a few sets of lingerie. Even though Delilah and Maya were sisters, it was very unhygienic to share lingerie. [Besides, it's not like Lucas will see the lingerie and be able to tell the difference...]
"Oh, Lucas also asked me to bring her a bathing suit..." Ryan added when he saw Tiffany was finished.
Tiffany looked at Ryan awkwardly. Did Maya even bring a bathing suit?
Lying the suitcase on the floor and opening it fully to take a proper look, Tiffany started searching for a bathing suit. As she did this, Ryan looked at the contents of the suitcase with curiosity. Now that both suitcases were lying open on the floor, it was obvious that they belonged to two very different people. One was filled with tight-fitting, revealing, and bright clothing, whereas the other was filled with casual, comfortable, and neutral-colored clothing. Ryan was quite surprised. How could two twin sisters be so different? His impression of Maya changed a little again.
It appeared, she was nothing like her flirtatious and narcissistic sister.
He even saw a book wedged in between the clothes: a novel that he had read before. It seemed, Maya was also quite clever and educated. No wonder his best friend was fascinated by the woman.
Eventually, Tiffany searched through the entire suitcase and did not find a bathing suit. Giving up, she said, "I can't find it. Let's just buy her a new one."
Ryan held back a smirk and nodded his head. "I have Lucas' credit card. I'm sure he won't mind."
As they started walking out the door, he took a quick glance at the two open suitcases on the floor and laughed in secret. Clearly sitting under a couple of shirts in Delilah's suitcase was a hot pink bikini top; the same one that Delilah wore to the pool party a few days ago. If he didn't already know the truth, this clumsy best friend would have slipped up a hundred times already. But since he already knew, he was not going to expose her. It was not time yet.
Just as they reached the elevator, Ryan received a phone call. He glanced down at his screen and saw that it was Tracy. Picking up the phone and turning slightly to the side he answered, "Hello?"
Tiffany glanced at the man but did not pay much attention to his conversation. After all, she didn't think it was any of her concern.
"Yes... OK... I see..." Ryan smirked as he nodded. "I will definitely tell Lucas when I see him..."
Ryan hung up the phone and chuckled. Tracy had just told him another interesting piece of news about Maya...
