Garchomp VS Dragonite

Poke Hotel

Iris was currently eating dinner with Cilan and discussing the upcoming battle against Ash.

"Did you finish your preparation already?" Cilan asked as he elegantly ate a piece of steak.

Iris who was munching her steak without a care in her surroundings nodded her head and replied, "Uh-huh, Ash is using his Garchomp which I think is really the Ash we know from back then who didn't care about type advantages."

Cilan smiled hearing this but still cautioned Iris, "Be careful because Ash isn't the same Ash we know in the past. he is clearly a lot stronger and matured so I don't think he is doing something careless again."

"Why are you helping me when you know that I am facing our friend tomorrow?" Iris asked while finishing her steak.

Hearing Iris's question Cilan could only smile wearily and thought, 'That's because I treat you more than a friend' but he chose to keep quiet and continued eating his steak.

The moon was replaced by the sun signalling the last day for the trainers participating on the group stage in the Lily of Valley Conference.

Ash along with his Mother and the 3 ladies were making their way towards Stadium D.

"You are gonna fight Iris today Ash so do your best!" Dawn said while pumping her fist.

May nodded her head and said, "Yeah, Ash. you can easily defeat her if you use Samurott who uses Ice attacks."

Ash looked at his two cheerleaders and replied with a smile, "Thank you, I'll promise not to disappoint your expectations."

As they continued talking with each other, they finally arrive at the entrance of Stadium D. Ash then went directly to the trainers' lounge while Delia and the 3 ladies were escorted by Jessie and James who were already on Stadium D earlier to look for a good seat.

On the opposite side of the stadium, Iris and Cilan also arrive, "Do your best Iris, remember to be careful because Ash is a clever trainer who always thinks out of the box."

Iris nodded, "Got it Coach!" she then bumped her fist into Cilan's chest while entering the trainers' lounge.

As the two of them were waiting in their respective lounge the host finally appeared on the stage.

"Ladies and Gentleman! this is the last day for the group stage of the Lily of the Valley Conference!"

He then walked on the front of the stage and continued, "Our first battle will be against two undefeated trainers so it will surely be an interesting fight to watch so don't go anywhere because the match is about to begin, let us first welcome the Dragon Master from Unova Region, IRIS!!!"

Cheers erupted as Iris dressed in a purple dress walked out and stood on the battlefield.

The host then waited for the audience to calm down and said while pointing towards the right side of the stadium, "Our next trainer is hailed from Pallet Town situated in Kanto, let us all welcome Ash Ketchum!"

Ash walked out of the lounge not minding the cheers in the audience area and stood on his spot on the battlefield.

The referee who was already at the center of the battlefield looked at both trainers and announced, "Let the 1 on 1 battle BEGIN!"

Iris was the first one to take out her Pokeball and threw it into the air, "Dragonite let's spank Mr. frowny face butt."

*ROOOOOAAAAAR!*

Dragonite roared as he landed on the battlefield while staring at Ash with a smug look on his face.

Ash smiled seeing Dragonite and said, "You're still the same old Dragonite who is always filled with confidence. I hope that you can be a worthy opponent for my pokemon."

As he finished speaking Ash threw out a Pokeball and said, "Prove to the world that you are worthy of being called a Dragon pokemon. let's go, Garchomp!"

*ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR*

Garchomp roared causing the stadium to tremble, he then looked at his opponent which was a Dragonite, and growled towards Dragonite showing his aggressiveness.

Dragonite snorted seeing Garchomps stare and raised his middle finger showing his contempt for Garchomp's little show of strength earlier.

"Looks like your opponent doesn't give you even a hint of respect, you don't need to hold back and go all out for once Garchomp," Ash said as he crossed his arm on his chest.

"Dragonite, let's show them the true power of a dragon type pokemon and use Dragon Pulse!"

Dragonite opened his mouth and shot a dragon pulse towards Garchomp.

Ash smiled and commanded, "Garchomp, don't hold back and also use Dragon Pulse."

Garchomp roared then shot a bigger dragon pulse than the one Dragonite used.

As the two dragon pulses collided it was obvious in the naked eye that Garchomps dragon pulse was slowly overpowering Dragonite's.

"Dragonite, stop using dragon pulse and fly to the sky!" Iris ordered.

Dragonite was really unwilling to admit defeat but still chose to follow Iris's command and flew in the sky dodging Garchomp's dragon pulse.

"Looks like we won that bout Garchomp," Ash said while looking at Iris at the opposite of the battlefield.

Garchomp roared towards Dragonite who was above and put his two fins on his hips laughing at Dragonite's loss.

Seeing the comical look on Garchomp, Ash facepalmed in embarrassment and said, "The hell are you doing? do you still want to fight in the quarter-final or you want another pokemon to take your spot?"

Upon hearing Ash's threat Garchomp lowered his fins and glared at Dragonite while sneering, he then looked back at Ash and smiled at his Master.

Iris who was on the opposite side wasn't having leisure time like Ash because she was thinking about how to defeat Garchomp, she was clearly surprised to see how powerful Garchomp was and started to be more serious.

"Dragonite, use dragon dance."

Dragonite flew at the sky in an elegant manner catching the audience's attention.

Ash looked at the Dragonite who was trying to power up and commanded, "Garchomp, don't let him continue powering up and use Draco meteor!"

A powerful ball of light shot out from Garchomp's mouth and flew straight to the sky, the ball of light then exploded and tens of meteors started descending on the battlefield.

"Dragonite, do your best and dodge those incoming meteors!"

Dragonite looked at the meteors falling down and evaded each one of them while still using Dragon dance but it was clear to see that he was having a hard time dodging each meteor.

"Garchomp, don't let this opportunity go to waste and use the meteors as your cover and use dragon claw!"

Garchomp flew to the sky and focused on Dragonite's position, he then used the surroundings meteors as cover while he moved closer to Dragonite.

"Look out Dragonite!"

Iris called out but it was too late, Dragonite who heard her voice looked at his surroundings when he suddenly saw Garchomp appearing below him.

*BOOM!*

Garchomp's dragon claw hit Dragonite's on his chest making him fly back to stabilize himself.

"Oh no, quickly dodge the meteor Dragonite!" Iris called again in horror as she saw a huge meteor falling straight to Dragonite.

Dragonite who was still trying to stabilize himself suddenly felt the incoming meteor, he was about to dodge but the meteor was already too close and it hit him on the back sending him crashing down the battlefield.

Seeing Dragonite's situation Ash immediately commanded, "Garchomp, finish it using Dragon Rush!"

Garchomp who was flying above roared and dove down, he was covered with a blue power aura with a hint of red on the outer layer.

Dragonite who was sent crashing was laying on the battlefield squinting his eyes from the damage he took earlier, he looked at the sky and saw Garchomp diving towards him using Dragon Rush.

He clenched his teeth and forced himself to stand up, without even waiting for Iris to command. he roared and also Dragon Rush as he flew straight towards the incoming Garchomp.

Ash nodded seeing Dragonite's willpower but Iris, on the other hand, had a worried look on her face as she saw Dragonite charging towards Garchomp.

Garchomp and Dragonite were about to collide and both of them roared trying to strengthen their power.

*BOOM!*

As the two collided a huge shockwave spread all over the stadium, the protective shield that was protecting the audience trembled making the audience nervous.

Clouds of dust were all over the stadium making it hard for the audience and trainers to see the result.

A few moments later as the dust started clearing up everyone focused their attention towards the battlefield and saw Garchomp standing in front of an unconscious Dragonite.

Upon seeing this scene the referee raised his hand and announced, "Dragonite is unable to battle, the winner is Garchomp!"
