"She is…helpful." He finally said, and he immediately knew that it sounded odd. It sounded like a load of crap to himself too. 


As expected, Leo didn't believe a word of it. Although he saw right through him, he pretended not to notice anything and shrugged.  "If you think so, then I will not trouble her anymore after this." 


Carlos grunted in response and wanted nothing more than to leave the ward. 


Kara gritted her teeth as she entered Santino's mansion in the evening. She had hoped she would never have to seek him again but the need came about much sooner than she would ever want. 


She was once again let in as though she was a resident and allowed to find the man in his study. 


He raised an eyebrow when he saw her. "You have been coming to my way too many times. Do you miss me?" 


She wanted to barf. How exactly was this man's brain wired? 


"Carlos was shot." She stated without beating around the bush.
