She laughed at the unexpected mention of love. "What made you think I'm in love with him? We had a fling in the past but that's all there was to it."

"That reaction." He pointed at her with his ice cream. "It can't be any more obvious."

"Okay, Dr. Love." She rolled her eyes at him.

"Are you really going through with this? When are you getting married?" He asked.

What was the rush? She wondered. "We just got engaged. We haven't met the parents as a couple yet." She reminded him.

The thought of the Auberts left a bitter taste in her mouth. If she were marrying Carlos out of love, she would have wanted to simply have a private wedding without them. Alas, they were the reason this was even happening.

"About that, I need to speak to someone." She hoped she would manage to catch her at her office. She would never be able to explain it if Shera learned about her engagement from someone else.
