Expansive Realms

"It is also a Realm or rather a Sea where physical objects do not exist in a certain sense. Yet, within the Astral Plane exist monsters feared by gods and demons. Their powers are so enormous that many would link their souls to that plane in order to learn its secrets. The Astral Plane is one of the strongest realms unexplored by many."

Captivated, Aurelia stared intently at the silver-eyed boy smiling back at her. Not wanting to stop, he continued, "There exist many realms unexplored, but for the most part, whenever one links their heart or souls to these realms, they are able to absorb the energy it releases. For example, in this world of Alos, you can absorb a neutral Arcana and convert it into any type of element, but within the Astral World, that would be impossible because Arcana or heavenly Qi does not exist there. Only Astral Energy. "

"Are there other Planes like that?"

"Of course," Zireael muttered, "There are hundreds, but the Astral Sea is one of the strongest, if not the strongest. Many can only dream of connecting to that realm; however, only the most proficient in magic can hope to leave a permanent connection there."

"Do you have a connection?"

"No, I was never strong enough or had the chance to connect." Zireael bitterly said, pointing towards the staff within the girl's arms, "However, that staff connects to the Realm of Torment. Right now, you can gather the Elemental Essence of Chaos. Nonetheless, you are not in the least bit ready. Anyway, that's enough of that, do you hear that?"

Coming to a halt, Aurelia agreed, Turning her head towards the south, "Yes... It sounds of running water."

Picking up speed, the young girl darted ahead in search of the sound. Behind, Zireael said nothing, merely frowning, inspecting the skies more precisely the creature watching them from the clouds.

Its body was small, almost like an infant in size, with a single vertical beastal eye covering most of its appearance. At the same time, two tiny bat-shaped wings were present flapping softy within the clouds hidden from sight.

"A Volx," Zireael muttered, "Why are they watching me. That would be foolish even... Oh, I see, it's not for me but Aurelia."

"Zireael looks!" Aurelia shouted, bringing the boy out of his own world to the flowing stream of water swiftly moving. Its body glistened with starlight capturing the attention of any who saw it. With the small fishing occasionally flapping out the water, Aurelia turned to Zireael.

"Looks like we will not need Anima," Zireael casually observed, "If we follow this, we will arrive at the Lake of Reflection."

"You could be a little more excited!"

"Yipee!" Zireael jeered, arching his hands high.

"Dumb-Dumb,"

Deciding to ignore the young Lord, Aurelia leaped into the steam feeling the chilling liquid spread upon her skin. Shaking his head Zireael smiled before looking up towards the skies.

"Levitation," He chanted, taking to the skies in a gust of wind. Arriving before Volx in an instant, he smiled. "So your target was her. Thank you for making me retire, I will be heading to the capital soon, and I promise the streets will flow with your bodies."

Splitting its body in half with a quick draw from his sword Zireael descended to the ground with a casual smile. However, a pair of eyes were staring with scrutiny.

"What?" he asked in amusement.

'You know what?"

"Come now; Aurelia, can't I take a piss in the clouds?" Zireael lied, scratching the back of his head gleefully. "Quite nosy, aren't you!"

Turning her back, Aurelia continued to splash, playing with the little fishes before a hand pressed upon her shoulder. Pouting with pleading eyes.

"You really are a three-year-old. No, we need to go," Zireael informed, "I do not like being late; you can play in the river tonight."

Dragging her away, the days slowly began to flow like the winds. Aurelia had gotten far more engulfed in the life of training, while Zireael would assist whenever the mood would strike him. Merely spending most of his time reading.

Turning towards the image of the Sigil of Man twisting his body with forwarning, Zireael arched his lips, "She learned it." He muttered, peering into Sigil shimmering with power that abruptly shattered into millions of starry fragments that wrapped around the young girl.

"Aurelia did it!!!" shouted the little girl, unable to hide her joy; she leaped into the air feeling the breeze upon her face.

"You did, but you still need to work on casting it instantly. Such a spell is a life savior in the heat of battle. There should never be a second where that spell should not be active. It's not a concentration spell, so you can cast it without worry." Said Zireael, with a slight smile, "and it looks like we were able to arrive faster than I thought."

Looking to where Zireael was pointing, Aurelia gasped in awe at the massive lake surrounded by hundreds of men and women. All of them dressed in noblemen wears, to her wonder.

"I heard that only nobles are allowed to enter the Lake of Reflection. They say under imperial order of the magistrate, the Knights have been given the right to kill or arrest any commoners who dare to trespass. However, they simply opt to kill those lesser than they are."

"that's despicable!"

"Nonsense! it's the way of the world." Said Zireael

"Zireael!"

"What?" Lord Blackwater aloofly replied, "Commoners, at least to most nobles, are less than the shit their horses drop. That's how it is. Don't tell me I was the first nobleman you ever saw?"

Biting her lips, Zireael took it as the truth, "Well, get used to it. Now shall we? Talia and Innis should be here already... You know what? I don't like being early, neither let's wait for four days to pass. I had told Anima to tell the girls Seven Days."

"Dumb-Dumb! Let's go!" Aurelia screamed, charging towards the lake encampment gripping Lord Zireaels palm.

Jerking his arm away, zireael glared, "You swam in a fucking river! And you dare touch me! Girl, do you know how dirty those things are?"

Coming to a stop, Aurelia turned to ZIreael, glaring daggers into her. tilting her head, she drew closer, "Ummm sorry... .got you!!"

Pouncing upon the boy, Aurelia wrapped her arms around, giggling mischievously, "hehe, got you," she repeated.

Pushing her body away with all his might, aurelia flew high in the air. Casting featherfoot, she landed upon a tree giggling watcher the young lord begin to vomit.

"AURELIA!"
