Crimson Moon - Blood

Swiping the Eldritch staff down as though it was a sword, Aurelia's lips curled upwards. As if she had a new calling, a purpose in life, she held her head high.

"The Throne of Creation, Aurelia wants it! "uttered the Young Fallen sending the heavens into turmoil with a mischievous glint of a devil.

Clouds blacker than ink showered the skies in darkness, bathing the land in shadows. The winds themselves began to howl with raged like a natural disaster tearing down landmarks, trees, and many homes around Alos.

Piercing his sword into the earth, Sir Logan's gritted his teeth, holding on for dare life as the winds tore the lands apart. Sending his helmet high into the skies of darkness, Logan became bare to the world.

Carrying golden locks that fell to his neck, a set of catlike eyes burning with the same golden radiance of the Sigil of Morningstar in the air.

"What is this madness!" Shouted, Talia appeared alongside Innis, holding onto Sionn and Ella for dear life.

"We need to retreat!" Earl Kest roared in response under the pressure of the turbulent winds tearing apart Alos. Never in his life had he seen something like this happen. Even in the records of his noble house, there were never any records of such destructive chaos.

Consumed in a tempest of destruction, Talia shook her head, staring at Aurelia shimmering gold upon the sea of chaos, seemingly untouched.

Crackling with laughter, the Eldritch staff within the hands of the Fallen hummed with such evil that the very corpse of Eachann and Gurmo began to wither and rot at a pace visible by the naked eye.

"Logan!" Commander Greymore shouted grimly, appearing in a pillar of light near his side, "We have been given the order, no matter the cost. Aurelia Morningstar is to die." He urged, casting a vicious stare onto his target.

"Is that right? It will seem my warning fell upon deaf ears," Zariel uttered suddenly and calmly from high in the skies appearing like a reaper of death. No emotion could be seen on his face, as his gaze never left the skies thundering with such rage.

"By The Order of the Cathedral of Light, Aurelia is to die. Should Zireael Blackwater interfere, he is to be put to death." Roared, Commander Greymore pulling his sword from his waist, pointing it into the skies with blinding charisma, he bellowed, "Hear me! Men now! The time of War is upon us! Your target is that girl!"

Descending from the skies covered in a veil of darkness and onto the ground, Zariel's glanced across the booming skies, shifting them towards the decrepit woods being torn asunder by Aurelia's presence. To say he was not surprised would be a lie, for even he was shocked by the power gathered merely from the words she uttered.

Stepping out of the tattered woods clad in plated armor, the knights of Ferrum stood tall and proud with sullen expressions. In contrast, an ashen expression hung upon Earl Kest, Talia, and Innis, at the similarly endless night surrounding them.

"Master?" Said Ella, fearfully holding the arm of Ella tightly.

"Zireael," Aurelia suddenly announced with a smile that sent Zariels brow high, "I want it! No, I need it!"

Placing his hand upon the handle of his sword on his back, Zariel spoke," I do not know what this Throne of Creation is, but if it is what you seek, claim it!"

BOOOM!!!!

Igniting the land of Alos around the duo, a single bolt of heavenly tribulation fell like a pillar of death, tearing through time and space a spark so powerful many from all around Alos looked up with prayer.

Arching his sword into the skies in response, Zariel's blade clashed with the lighting of heavens wrath, yet instead of a thunderous explosion like many thought, the Young Duke stood indifferent with glowing sterling eyes.

"Endowment of Kings," He uttered so calmly many felt a chill through their spines as the lightning that seemed capable of demolishing a kingdom vanished.

"Young Lord?" Whispered Talia watching in pure dread as a wisp of lightning began to crackle around her lord. Coiling like small silver dragons, they howled with might.

Cracking his neck, Zariel's entire body soon began to crackle with thunder and lighting. Sending dread into all those that saw him, the Silver Devil, lips turned cruel.

BOOOM!!!

Blasting off the ground in a bolt of silver lightning, blood suddenly showered the skies in a sea of gore. As if he had become the incarnation of lightning, Zariel tore an entire whole into the sea of knights.

Licking the blood that was bathing his body scarlet, the crackles of thunder boomed from his blade as his sword became like a whip of silver lightning, reaching over five meters long, his arm flashed.

Slicing, cleaving, piercing without discretion, Zariel tore apart the knights who could not even defend themselves faster than they could comprehend. This was no battle, nor struggle, but a slaughter. It mattered not who begged, who screamed; blood fell like rain.

Standing still unsure what to do, Commander Greymore shivered in dread at the small sea of body parts being to grow. He had wanted to scream for Zariel to stop, to grant mercy, but as he stared at the silver devil clawing life away with a smile, he knew. He knew no mercy would be granted.

Wiping the blood from his cheeks, Zariel suddenly came to a halt, standing before Greymore, who shivered, and Logan, who seemed far too dumbstruck even to move. He laughed, amused by their faces.

"This is what true power is. The Cathedral of Light, how interesting. It will seem they crave death more than the heavens how I look forward to tearing apart all you hold dear." Said Zariel, calmly losing the glow of lightning from around him.

"who... Who are you?" Whispered Sir Logan, falling to his knees, "To control the elements like a god."

Not bothering to answer, Zariel approached Aurelia, whose eyes were wide with fascination. He smiled softly, "I cannot use Elements, but that doesn't mean I cannot take control of what the heavens or my enemy cast at me. Breakthrough into the next major realm, and I shall teach you."

Looking down at his sword, Aurelia shuttered, feeling the tyrannical power overflowing from his blade still crackling with the wrath of the heavens, "I have about two charges left." he casually remarked, noticing her intense stare.

"What does that mean?" Aurelia asked, reaching for his sword an arm's length away.

Rolling his eyes, Zariel sneered, swiftly sheathing his blade, with a clink, "it means I can use this Lighting twice before it vanishes--"

Pausing mid-sentence, a chill suddenly crawled its way down Duke Blackwater's spine as he peered up past the dark clouds beginning to fade at the moon, the color of blood hanging deep within the skies.

Brimming with a sinister light, Lord Zariel, gaze began to burn with a seething vengeance as he glared at the moon watching him.

"You found me," He uttered with a smoldering rage as the crackles of laughter suddenly hummed within his ear.

"No, he found Aurelia. You just happened to be here," Said Mephesto amusingly from deep within his ear. "To reach for the throne means to be enemies with all. But ask yourself, Zariel, is it her will or someone else's?"
