'Looks like I finally reached a village!'
Having successfully put on the celestial, Abel spent the next few days wandering the world.
"Thank God I'm an immortal here or else I would die of hunger! Now that I think about it, would I be considered to be a god?! I mean I am an immortal who ascended!"
Excited by his thoughts Abel strolled up to the village.
The location of the village, while not exactly being a valley, was on a large plane directly out of the mountain terrane.
'The village doesn't seem to have an entrance.'
With the size of an average US neighborhood, that being 40 or so basic wooden houses with thatch roofs and 5 or so well made houses, the village isn't anything outstanding.
'There don't seem to be any farming fields or ranches nearby, so this village must be put here with a specific purpose; As for what that purpose, well I have no clue. I doubt I'll even find an inn of some sort.'
Having scanned the vicinity of the village and finding nothing note worthy, Abel has half a mind to just skip the village and move on.
'Well I might as well mark it down anyways no matter how useless.'
Looking down and the printing sized paper in his Abel marked the village with a few small house shaped structures.
'While the map isn't perfect, ie. there's no distant measurement, it still helps knowing the general location of places. AH by the way, the paper was requested by me from Cory!'
Having marked the village down, Abel folded the paper placing it in his right pocket.
'While the armor is a bit constricting it doesn't cover any of the pockets I had from when I first arrived.'
Taking his thought away from the map, Abel noticed some villagers watching him from the distance.
'They must be warry against me since I'm a stranger! Since they already saw me, I might as well go and ask them for directions, or at least some goal I can go for; The past few days walking around the mountain range has been so boring.'
"Hello! Do any of you know the location of the near by city?"
The villagers looked at stranger that just appeared in front of them with out much of any expression.
"There are two cities nearby, the closest one being Koi Park City just a little further north east word from hear."
"Thank you!"
Having got the information he wanted Abel said his thanks and left.
'Whether the information is valid isn't very relevant right now. I just want to find somewhere to stay for awhile. *Sigh* I really should of asked Cory for some directions.'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Along the road the most notable thing was the farm land.
'Looks like this city will be a descent size! There might even be an inn for any merchants that might come by; That is if merchants even travel here. Though the strange thing is that there aren't any city walls?'
-Having entered the city the first thing able asked about was for direction to a local inn-
Looking at the two story, wooden, stone building
'The inn or rather the Koi family guest house. Shockingly enough the building is run by the Koi family, and is a place that the Koi family guests live.'
'Unfortunately I'm not a Koi family guest so I can't live there. If I had any form money/ trading currency I might be able to rent a room, but all my games Spirit Stone and Spirit Jade are stuck in that ring.'
'Though one of the civilians the mention that if I had some cultivation knowledge there's a chance that I can get a job at the Park School, and in turn free housing! While I don't have any real cultivation knowledge, it's still worth a shot.'
Turing away from the Koi guest house, Abel walked towards the direction of the inner city. While walking in the direction given by the civilian, Abel couldn't help but be a little startled, the inner city was surrounded by a stone wall.
'This is a bit shocking. Given that the outer city didn't even have a wood wall I wasn't expecting much for the inner city, but who would've guessed that they had a stone wall!'
'They wouldn't check for an ID or anything like that right?!'
Having gotten closer to the inner gate Abel's initial anxiousness disappeared.
'Looks like I was worried about nothing. Not only does the city gate have no guards, but the gate itself is wide open!'
***Park School***
The Park School had a large sign showing off its glory right in front of the large 3 story medieval complex. The complex had seven buildings attached to each other in circle shape, leaving a large open courtyard in the center of the complex. The largest of the seven buildings was the one where Abel was standing in front of.
Opening the door, a breeze of cool air blew over Abel. The cool breezy air comforted all of those who entered the building alleviating all nervousness and tension.
"Ah hello Sir, are you here to register your child into Park Schools!"
Tracing the location of the voice, Abel saw a young man siting behind what seemed like the register.
"Hello, um no I'd like to register as a teacher. Do you have any open positions?" 'Wait did I just say teacher... but I don't know anything!'
"Oh! my apologies I didn't realize sir was a great immortal cultivator; Please sit!"
Pointing to the near by sitting bench in what I can only call the lobby.
"I'll immediately ask for one of the on duty recruitment management staff to come an see you!"
"Very well, thank you."
Watching the back of the young man walkout the door behind the register area Abel could only *sigh* in desperation.
'What now... I don't know any cultivation knowledge.
Wait a minute! While I may not be able to use much of my spiritual essence cultivation I did put a bit of time into my body cultivation!
If my memory serves to be correct my body cultivation was at the initial stage (somewhere from 2 to 5) of the Golden Body realm. That's only two stages behind the body ascension realm Heavenly Being!!
Okay it's settled I'll use my body cultivation and get a position as a teacher in this school!'
"Hello Sir Immortal Cultivator, this here is one of the Park School's Staff Recruitment on Duty Managers. Manager this is the Immortal that wanted to apply as a teacher."
Manager: "Yes thank you I'll take it from here. Sir Immortal please come with me to the testing area."
"Oh okay, yes!"
Walking out of the lobby area, we walked down a hall way. Passing three doors left and right we eventually reached a fourth door on the left. The manger stopped here and opened the door.
"Please, Sir, enter."
Walking through the door the first thing to catch my eye was a small concave corner section of the room. The three walls of the concaved corner had strange drawings on them; While the drawings didn't emit any type of power, some of them would give Abel a weird feeling (similar to a cool draft).
'Is that an array of some type or maybe it's a formation? While I'm not quite clear on the difference between the two there should be some difference right?'
"Oh Mr. Manager.."
"Call me Jacob."
"Ah okay, Sir Jacob! My name is Abel."
"No need for the Sir. I mean if you evaluation works out your position would be higher than mine. Though how high your position is will depend on your strength!"
"Oh okay! Also Jacob would the testing procedures differ if I'm a body cultivator?"
Glancing back at Abel very warily, Jacob continued...
"Body cultivation is very resource draining and as such our school doesn't accept body cultivators? Is Sir Abel a body cultivator?"
'what...'
"Uh no I was just wandering... Jacob what exactly are the procedures for the exam?"
"Well Sir, the initial step is pretty simple! All you have to do is step inside of that formation over there so we can confirm that you are indeed an immortal. This step will also let us gage how much spiritual essence you have, so we can find a suitable position for you!"
"I see; Okay thank you for the explanation."
'That shouldn't be too bad. While I may not be able to circulate my spiritual essence, I should have a lot stored in me, and there shouldn't be any issue with me passing this spiritual essences gage.'
"So, should I step into the formation right now?!"
"Yes please do. The formation will forcefully pull out 20% of you spiritual essence into the surroundings. As such I'll be standing right out side the vicinity of the formation so as to see the density of the spiritual essence."
Stepping closer to the formation Abel couldn't help look at the formation drawings along the walls.
'Well lets get this over with.'
Having now *Stepped* into the formation Abel felt dormant spiritual essence in him suddenly becoming active; Almost like a dragon begin provoked by a stick wielding human, and the irritated dragon then retaliated with a wave of its wings (western dragon).
'Wow, it feels like the spiritual essence inside me is being forcefully pulled out!'
The atmosphere surrounding Abel started getting agitated almost like it was being broken apart by the density of spiritual essence.
The manager standing outside the formation quickly retreated from the area, following up with a good puking of blood.
"Sir Abel, ple-please sto-STOP!!!"
Hearing the mangers rushed stammering words, Abel quickly jumped out of the formation to stop the overflowing spiritual essence.
'AY, looks like I really am an immortal. I mean I did guess that already, but you never know!'
"Are you alright Manager Jacob?!"
"Y-yes I'm fine, but I'm afraid I can't test you properly."
"Does that mean I failed!"
"nonono of course not sir, it's just this lowly one is too week to sense even a sliver of your spiritual essence and can only report this to the higher ups!"
"Oh okay very well!"
'It seems like the cultivators here might not be too powerful. While I'm not sure how week they are, but the manager couldn't even withstand my aura so he cultivation shouldn't be any higher than Nascent Soul Realm.'
(Cultivation realms in the game are: Qi Gathering < Foundation < Gold Core < Soul Wandering < Nascent Soul < Ensoulment < Nihility < Ascension < Half Immortal < Profound Immortal[MC is here] < Golden Immortal < Immortal Venerable < Immortal King < Immortal Emperor < God Realm).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***Mangers Perspective***
"What in the world was that kind of power!!! I almost died just from his residual spiritual essence!"
'I should inform Young Master Carp! If Young Master can bring in this immortal into our school it'd be a big accomplishment, not only that but Young Master might even have the chance of getting in the immortals good gracious.'
**The Manger rushed to his Young Master's room**
*Gentle Nock*
"Young Master, there is something that urgently needs your attention."
After a waiting for awhile the door to the room was opened. Standing right across from the manger was a young (about 16-17 ish) man with slightly messy dark black hair pushed down to the left, with slight baby cheeks, and stern expression.
"Jacob what's wrong?"
"Young Master I'm sorry for disturbing your cultivation, but there is an immortal that wants to apply as a teacher in the Park Academy, and I thought it be best to tell Young Master right away!"
"Okay lets go. I suppose you wouldn't be asking me to come if it was an ordinary person, so tell me about what happened during the test. "
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***Back in the testing room***
"Sir my apologies for making you wait so long!"
"Oh, Jacob your back!"
"Sir Abel, please let me introduce to you my Young Master!"
Taking a light bow the young master said his greetings.
Young Master: "It's an honor to meet Immortal Senior Abel!"
"So should we continue with the testing?!"
"From what Jacob has told me along the way, I don't have the confidence to hold the testing for senior! If senior would allow it I would like to take you to another area more suited for testing!"
"Oh okay, whatever you guys think is best works for me!"
"Thank you senior."
