Chapter 11

Leta was curious about where Theseus could be.

''Where would he enjoy chilling?" she wondered. She used the process of elimination to figure this out.

"What about the Quidditch pitch? No. Too loud. The library? Too quiet. Eureka! I've got it!" she cried, "The place where it all began."

She dashed to the Hufflepuff common room once again to find Theseus, for better purposes this time. She found him in the exact armchair from all those nights ago, stuck in a book.

"Hey Theseus!" she smiled, thinking he would be glad to see her.

"Oh, Merlin!" he cried, receiving the shock of his life, smacking down his book, "What are you doing here?" he said angrily.

"Uh... You know," she hesitated, playing with her hair. "I just came to find you."

"To find me." he said blankly. "WHY IN MERLIN'S NAME ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ME?" he shouted, rage pursuing every inch of his body. He couldn't deal with the pain caused by the past, fuelling his anger. He just couldn't stand the thought of her. A mixture of memories, his head filled with hypermnesia.

"Oh. Schnitzel! Dumbledore was right!" she reflected. "I have to figure this out."

"All I ever wanted to do was relax, forget about the goddamn past we foolishly created and you're trying to relive it!? Get out of my sight!" he raged.

"You're a foolish girl in a foolish lovestruck world! You know that? Absolute filth! You are nothing to me." he cynically remarked. He almost felt like tearing her apart, taking her out of existence.

Leta was stunned, fighting back tears and her breath quickening, she cried, "Do you even realise what you have become? A person without heart, without the thing we both desired in the first place. Love. It shocks us and carries us on individual roller coaster rides, and those roller coaster rides hurt us most of the time. I'll say! But look, love heals. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not boastful, arrogant or rude. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. Love strengthens us. Love never ends! You just need to work alongside it! Become that wonderful man I knew! That loving, joyous man! I beg you!" she pleaded.

He took a few moments to consider her words. Or, more like one word. Love. Her hair. Her smile. Her inspiring words. Patience and passion. All that he ever dreamed of, staring at his fatigued face, red eyes and mindless actions. His anger ripped itself to pieces, dissolving within a matter of minutes.

"Oh shit!" he chuckled. "Oh shit!" he chuckled all the more.

"You see it?" she whispered.

"I see it," he replied.

The time to kiss never felt more appropriate. This time, the world seemed to shift around them. Their views. Their purpose. Everything. Their hearts united as one.
