Why did you drag me all the way to the edge of a cliff Arin.>

There's something I've wanted to show you.<

I looked up as Arin told me and what I saw was beautiful. What I was seeing was the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen, not that I've seen much. It looked like a shining golden sun getting darker and darker. Along with the golden light of the sun you could see the stars, the endless amount of stars in the sky lighting up the night.

After seeing the sun set Arin and I talked a lot. We talked about insignificant things like what bird was on that one tree all the way to things like the state of the village. We also talked about heros and adventurers along with all the cool things they have done.

Hey Arin what do you want to be when you grow older.>

I don't really know but going on a adventure would be pretty cool so I might do it. So what do you want to do when you grow up Ryan.<

I don't really know so I guess I'll join you if it's okay.>

It's okay so let's go on a adventure 7 years from now, well find cool treasures and become strong like those heros in story's it's a promise!<

Yeah I promise I'll join you!>

Anyways it's getting dark and we don't want to get eaten by some wolves.<

After watching the sunset and talking Arin and I started crossing the forest to get back to the village. As we where walking back the was some sounds coming from a nearby bush but we didn't think anything significant of it. Then suddenly a slightly large gray wolf jumped out of the bush to the side of us.

Run It's a wolf Run!<

We both started running as fast as we could. Sprinting through the forest hoping that the exit would be close so we can be saved. We ran with all our might somehow not getting cought then all of the sudden we ran into a dead end and got cornered by the wolf.

Arin what do we do now.>

I'll hold off the wolf and you run.<

But what if you get eaten.>

Trust me.<

Arin smiled at me and took some steps forward trying to stop the approaching wolf. As soon as the wolf got near hip it jumped at him and knocked him to the side. Then the wolf approached me, in a terrified state I put my arms up, closed my eyes and hoped that we would get saved. I waited for some seconds then open up my eyes realizing I had not been hurt. What I saw shocked me a bit I saw a translucent green blob on the head of the wolf and some others coming on top of it stopping it from getting closer. I don't know why the slimes are helping us but I have to get Arin quick.

Arin get up we have to go.>

I help Arin get up and start fleeing the spot. After a bit of distance I looked back in the scene and saw even more slimes than before. I wondered why they helped us but I started running again not wanting to risk any chance of getting cought.

After arriving at the village we immediately went home and locked the door. We sat down on the table for some time silently thinking about today's events. I got up after some time and started preparing some food, since our parents died in a accident we have been staying alone in my parents place because where Arin used to live is too damaged too live in. After preparing dinner I brought some food out to the table. In the middle of eating Arin said something.

Hey Ryan I don't want something like what happened today to happen again.<

Yeah.>

So let's become stronger together okay.<

We both grinned at each other after those words. This would definitely be a day to remember in the future. Then we went to bed and got some sleep.
